Welp a tiny fucking ant killed me at Jyol. After listening to Arcturus it didn't sound like I could help out anyway, I couldn't tie my spawn to it because it was still being occupied.

How bad is the lag this time around? Last time I tried it, it was unplayable, since every time I attempted to move, it would be choppy, and rubber-band me to my last position.

It got pretty bad round luaville last night, to the point of me freezing into the ground. But for the other six or eight hours I was playing, everything was 90% fine.

If you're not European or American, it seems to lag like fuck.

Because I'm Australian and even if I join in the middle of the night it lags ALL THE TIME.

I'm Norwegian (which is in Europe) and it usually lags enough to make it a chore to play. I usually die when facing animals, because they either pop up out of nowhere, or my attempts to attack them goes right through due to lag. I cannot count the times I just suddenly die by attacks, without there being anything visible. Then as the camera zooms out I see something suddenly appearing.

Anyway, been working on Luaville. Still looks like crap, but the place will function well eventually. Had to make a long road to get oil and gas though, as the only deposit near the city-center was too close to the shore.
And CowThing, there are myriads of lethal creatures on that planet.

2. Should I join right away or make a practice empire?

2. Up to you. Our empire is mostly empty, right now we are two on. And I have no idea what Winston is doing, since I am the only one using the Empire chat it seems. We need more people to actually do stuff, but you can't unless you are given permissions, or find a planet yourself. So it might be best if you learn the game with your own empire first, then join us eventually.

Yeah, my fingers are itching after wanting to add a lot of shit to it.

This means I can probably not play this game, since I can do nothing with the internet here.

Fuck this. I am unable to play this, so I cannot do more in Luaville. blazingfly (which I assume is the guy who helped me yesterday) has building permission, so he'll have to take the city for now.
I'll be in the thread though, to see when the lag is fixed. Since so many people experience the same shit, and I was not the only one stuck to the ground yesterday in that sector, there must be something with the game, not my internet connection. So I'll just wait it out, but till then I am not going to play. Lag like that is the worst thing I know, and it makes me rage more than Super Meat Boy.

Which can mean two things I think. One, the ping attempt is caught by their firewall or something. Two, our internet suck. I have no idea, since I am not good with web-related things like that. Never really play online, so never needed to learn that.

No it means neither, their Servers just fucking suck so much.

Yeah, that too. And frankly, that seems a lot more likely, considering how often the servers are down. Oh well, maybe this will be a playable game in a few years. It has a lot of potential, and all he really need to do in order for this to be a recognized masterpiece is eliminate the lag. The rest can come after that.

You have to check the Server Status at the site. The servers are down right now, so one one is on.
