How do I place a town square? the build screen just makes my mouse spazz around a bit, whily trying to move it out of it.

I'm gonna wait till the patch, because it is twice as bad for me whenever it lags. You just do whatever, since I think Luaville can manage itself for a while. Not sure though, so it might be wise to monitor it.
damnit, little green flying monsters are attacking me, why can't I fucking hit them.
The Nomads are such douchebags.
Amen to that.
I can agree to that...
odd, I crashed quickly after joining 2 times in a row...

Just git on here. I need help setting up this new moonbase. the lag might not be as bad today?
damnit, 3rd time, I can't play this way :saddowns:
Anyone else having a problem with The Nomads? :\
...How's this game like? Maybe I'll join but I'll like if someone would explain what this game includes, how the graphics are, if it's fun and why. All that crap

Well, so far as I know, it's exploration, building (sim city/ roller coater type, but much more complicated) and quite immense, the graphics are quite bad, but the universe is huge.

I just expanded a city to manufacture way more goods than it did before, loaded surplus into my spaceship, and blasted off to make a moonbase, all so I can import a material only found on moons, that I can use to create gravity drives, which I will then need to use to colonise ANOTHER moon/planet, to find a mineral that will let me create wormhole drives. Sorta in depth :P
Attn all FP Empire People: Brohaven has been making recon runs on our capital and De Novus has been occupied by the Nomads.
bro i TOLD you about them nomads
bro I TOLD YOU
Word.
Yeah, I heard some guys raging over the hail network about some nomands, seems to be our facepunch group.
And... I drove a cargo ship (such small standard one)straight into the water around a hour ago, please forgive me I couldn't control the damn thing :gonk:
I'mma go check out what exactly is happening and probably retake it.
Also, how are you supposed to land a rocket on the moon? (not that i'm anywhere near getting a rocket, but I just wanted to know it)
Ok got it back not sure what exactly that was about.

Just run into the moon at less than 75 or something.
You plan to do anything about the Nomad problem?
I'll talk to them later, I think they're holding off because according to our logs the capital blasted one of their ships in three shots.

We can probably attack them back?
[QUOTE=blazingfly;27197419]Just git on here. I need help setting up this new moonbase. the lag might not be as bad today?[/QUOTE]
Sorry, not gonna happen. I raged over the lag so much earlier today I just don't want to play today. And tomorrow and Thursday I work late. But Friday... I'll come on Friday. Maybe the lag has been fixed then. Yeah, right. Sounds like you fixed up Luaville good though. So you don't need me :v:
well, I have a farm, a road, 4 homes and a little mine, what should I do now?
Expand the current stuff (more homes, more farms)
build towards ore far in the distance
build towards apples somewhat cloaser to gather the apples (i'm omnivor).
[editline]4th January 2011[/editline]
what do roads do other then let you allow to build buildings? speed up your moving speed?

The nomads currently only have 12 spacecraft, of which 2 are stations and 2 are "Light Fighter"s. It would be advantageous to reinforce the capital with a powerful "single shot" orbital defense platform to blow away any more of their ships arriving. Even if they bring their whole fleet, they'll be down one initially, and lose another one each time it cycles. IIRC, with our TL5-TL6 last game, we were able to construct a station that cycled once every 46 minutes. You should be able to achieve similiar results with TL4.

I get most of it, but I won't know a thing about how to build this. Just sounds so fucking awesome.
[editline]4th January 2011[/editline]
Would be even cooler if the cannon made awesome firing sounds.
[editline]4th January 2011[/editline]
What's a good way to get food? my farm isn't making any food at all (not much rain) and my only citizen starved, should I get the apples?
[editline]4th January 2011[/editline]
How can I store meat I have in my inventory in the city, so they can eat it.

Don't worry about your first citizen. He WILL die, simple as that. Once you get a citizen that lives long enough to tend the farm to complete an output of vegetables, it will start cycling fast enough to feed the citizens. Just work on expanding your little starting town.
Oh and somebody poke mrbob for me, we must discuss ~Grand Strategy~ over steam. As soon as he accepts my invite.

Actually it was one of your own ships. It was stolen i think.
