First of all, I cannot see one empire with exactly 8 members. So let's assume that one more person joined your empire after you made this post. You can't have many more than 8, seeing how the servers have been down for a while. Then it can only be Brohaven, but I can't really see that empire having three ringworlds. Ringworlds aren't that easy to find. Brohaven only have three solar systems under their control, and I am not prepared to believe that all of those are ringworlds. My point is, there is no reason to believe you from the information you have given. So give us your empire name.

Also, we should go to the homeworld and buy a bunch of TL7 disks. I have an urge to build a ship large enough that Arocks cargo ship can land in. Thats gonna be big.

Also, why do my mines on the moonbase (yes that's it's name, stupid nomads) not upgrade to TL3? I made it research and I've got the disk too.

Maybe there aren't enough disks? You need one for each mine.

Each time you research you normally make one research disk of that units tech level and only %1-5 of the time you have a breakthrough and make a higher TL research disk.

Can't believe servers are still down. :byodood:

Yeah, thats what I meant. Sell it to the city.

Once the disk is sold to the city all units with in that city and system that the city trades with will automatically upgrade. You do not need to buy a disk and then sell it to the unit you want upgraded. Also Tech level objects from a foreign empire will only upgrade your buildings by one tech level at a time. You can use any tech level that is higher than the building, but the building will only go up by one tech level. This is unlike your own tech level objects that will upgrade a building all the way up to the tech level of the object.

Or do you need one for each mine you have?

My current Goal for today and tomorrow: Get my city to TL7 This will require me to make a fair sum of money, but thanks to Laz and my new ship that should not be a problem. After that I will finish my moonbase and then begin work on fully exploiting Discusring Beta - our first ring world.
