i tried to start playing this as my own empire, i built a few houses and roads and stuff, then NPCs started spawning and just standing around. then i built a farm... a few other things... not sure where to go from here, is there a guide please? Quite lot, not fluid but still

If it didn't lag at all it would be ridiculously popular. I think one thing that turns people away is the game's website.

I think one thing that turns people away is the game's website.[/QUOTE] it doesnt really lag too badly, and by "lag" its not the annoying type of lag. its server lag, which just delays you. it doesnt slow you down then speed you up like other games, it just freezes everything then when its caught up in unfreezes.

You'll get used to the lag after an hour max. It's not that bad.

well, some friends of mine, some infinity forumites, and some of their friends are all playing inside the mighty Toucan Empire. we at the Toucan Empire extend an offer of frienditude to the facepunch empire, or whatever its name is.

if anyone wants to join our our empire, we now (or will tomorrow) have tl16 production and a nice area with nearly all the adjacent sectors ripe for the colonizing. any system you settle is yours to use and you get access to our ship designs. just send me a PM or ask here so i can open our immigration for you, or just make your own race if you dont find being an navi with bug eyes and a beak preferable. Oh, you! This thread has been quite dead, I think I am the only real facepuncher still left playing. And all I do is wonder around the galaxy exploring.

I'm also playing on SoH now, in another empire, trying to find a ringworld so I can just walk around it and stuff.

Good luck, Ringworlds are 5x the size of a normal planet and the locals are very angry and very hungry.

Sorry (AGAIN) for being completely inactive for so long. I was thinking we should create some kind of Facepunch confederation (e.g. several 0% vassals under a dummy empire, similar to what the Foundation is doing) so we could share tech and military without the entire enterprise crashing down due to one person's inactivity. Anyone else expressing interest?
