Navigator, if you love this mod so much, just e-mail FF for updated versions.
I dont love this mod, i dont even have the proper computer to run it.
But I dont see why some people say the mod its a shit, it seems very good-looking to me.
Excluding the models, but those can be disabled.
He just did the mod for training purposes, so lets leave the mod alone for some days and it might be back, I think.
Once again may we remind you it's hardly called training if 75% of the shit you have in your "training" mod is not yours.
Oh. This mod, where every texture is 5048x5048 and it's around 10GB
30 gb
Who cares it's a mod
I liked most of the environments apart from the crazy stuff he added in.
Victory.
Yeah, the environments were great, I didn't like the character models so I TURNED THEM OFF
is it that hard? Plus he was making a non-slutty, non-big boobed HD model of the Valve Alyx, which I was looking forward to.
Also he probably didn't need to make his textures that big, I went in and shrunk them down manually.
hey guys play my mod but you can't 'cause it's private
No my friend.
Cinematic Mod is beautiful because all the enhancements that he ALONE did to HL2 and its episodes: Dynamic Shadows, more rich enviromnents, enhanced lightning, dynamic soundtrack, ....
In case you dont know, a lot of hard work was put into all those things, so its kind to say him a very big THANKS instead of always complaining and complaining about things that can be disabled by a couple of clicks.
Thats a lie, FF is a stealer and a fake crappy mod, VertThreasters stuff is in there
I never got to use the map textures. :saddowns:
The only thing I had a beef with were the "HD" models. Alyx was wearing too little to be realistic, but too much for a prostitute. She was nothing. Eli was "derp," and the Combine... Well... People always fuck up how the Combine look.
But the map textures... They WERE good, I gotta say.

Who is VertThreasters ?
People are ungrateful bastards about everything, but thats no reason to make it private.
Who is VertThreasters ?
Its a guy who made some weapon reskin packs for HL2.
Theyre on FPSBanana, look:

For a mod that lots of people "Hate" it sure gets a lot of downloads.
Also, why does it matter what he does. If you really do hate it all that much, stay away from it and any thread about it?
If he can't take criticism over stuff that's not even his, then that's his problem.
Just let the butthurt cry it out, I'm pretty sure he'll make it public in the future after this cry for attention, if he doesn't, well, nothing of value was lost.
I don't see how he can make it non-public, seeing as he used torrents to distribute the thing. People will just share existing copies among themselves.
I myself haven't tried his mod. I think HL2 looks good already.

It does, but it's getting a little outdated now.

Dat name.
Who uses 64-bit computer anyway? they're pretty unstable, and I don't understand why this was built for 64-bit
I blame this mod for all the kids that think they can release a mod made of other people's stuff

I've run on 64bt system for the last year and its worked fine. Unstable pfft
Anyways 64 bit so it can handle the extra memory load.

The fuck you on son?
The second one looks better. I liked the mode because it gave a new look to an old game.

You clearly dont understand the first thing about 64-bit.
64-bit is just as stable as 32-bit, especially considering that the stability is not because of the architecutre but the quality of the code itself. When utilized properly it offers speed improvements over 32-bit and whether you like it or not, it is the future of computing.
With 32-bits you can only access about 4 gigabytes of memory. With 64-bits you can access quite a lot more than that, (I don't have an exact figure but in excess of 10TB)

You're living in a past don't you? 64bit was always stable. Only stupid people that fucked with XP64 spread bullshit like that.

You don't put a lot of trees on a coast, it's illogical
It's like the giant bridge in the middle of nowhere

Who uses 32 bit anyways?
16 bit is where its at, obviously 32 is unstable since 16bit has been around longer.
:downs:
He wants to fap to Alyx himself.

16-bit is for indecisive twats who cant choose between 8-bit and 32-bit.
Everyone knows 8-bit games were the best. Especially the music :)
I've never had an 8-bit game crash. But then again neither has my 64-bit linux system crashed. Can't say the same about my old 32-bit windows :)

In a few months 7 64 bit will probably pass Windows XP 32 bit.
64 bit is fine..
Also I hope he makes it public again, it was interesting.
