Ask them if you can go to the snack bar
Did you send that mirror to Team Meat?
No but I sent them a picture and they enjoyed it. I'm holding onto it now. May send it later.
Ask if DOTA 2 is going to have a stupid hat system.
Ask about Counter-Strike 2.
Ask about Counter-Strike 2.
I already plan on it. Basic things like this I will make sure to ask.
ask if they plan bringing the new replay feature of tf2 to their other games
Can you please ask them: If the plan on simplifying compiling models for the source engine along with the update to hammer? How much has modding changed the face of gaming and what impact do you you think modding will have in the near future, take for example Valve and the Source engine. What are his opinions on DLC's, especially those that are release upon a games release ex: Dragon Age 2, and Battlefield 3. When going through the game development process, how many times might the development team scrap an art style and start over again? Companies like Blizzard Entertainment and ID Software have been notable for there conventions, does Valve have any plans to establish their own convention of sorts as the company has reached a point in which it has become highly renowned and established with a huge fanbase like the companies listed above. Less and less companies have been showing support for PC gaming with more console exclusives and cheap ports. In turn, community modding has been an integral part of the pc community. With that said, do you believe that modders turned Indie developers etc such as Tripwire Interactive might lead a ressurgance for PC gaming? In a past interview I believe, you stated that Valve looks for unique talent went hiring, for example the hiring of Digipen students who created the idea behind Portal aswell as the mapper "Adam Foster" who created Minerva Metastatis. This may not be parallel with what was stated but do you believe companies might hire those who exhibit great talent in the development field of "modeling, coding, animating, etc" if they are self taught rather than getting a degree from a university?
Would be cool if you could ask 1. if there will be addon support for portal 2, such like the one for the L4D series, just with texture and model support, not just maps. The next thing would be, 2. if at least TF2 or any other sourcegame like EP2 would get an engine update to the Portal 2 engine, so mods and gmod (also for mounting content from Portal 2) are able to run on this engine. Mainly because of the new possibilities this engine has, speaking of those huge maps that normally lag like hell on the older sourceengine revisions.
1. why havent you fixed the broken phong shaders already goddamnit

Can't update OP right now. Really busy, probably will later.
You too?! It's like every second person on FP is going to Valve at the moment. Soon they won't have anything left to tour!
Think Half Life 2, but on the arcade with some.. notable changes and additions. Released in Japan only. Oh, and it was probably never released in the US because this was an idea from Japan and probably wasn't at all successful. Besides, not many use arcade machines anymore.
They should totally release that as a mod or something. I'd play the shit out of it. On topic, I'd kinda like to know more about what their plans are with Steam itself. We know video is in the works, but I'm curious as to what else is in the works, like video chat or something, I don't know.

Will Episode 3 have any references to Portal? Will Episode 3 be released this or next year, or even further up :(? Since I read in some news segment that Valve plans to have multiplayer in all of their games from now on... Will Episode 3 have a multiplayer campaign like Portal 2; and if it will, how will it relate to single-player?
When will the Portal 2 SDK be available. Soon or not soon?
Stop asking stupid questions about Portal 2 and go to the first needed question to ask: where is Episode 3 ?, 4 years after Episode 2.
Can you ask when we'll see an updated hammer / source sdk? The last guy that went said he'd ask, but he never did :(
-Do you have any interests in bringing the L4D2 Director to new games, or allowing strong SDK access with it? -Source Filmmaker details: How's it coming, projected release date, what's easy/hard about public release, etc. -Are new TF2 gamemodes in the pipeworks? -Can we expect more Valve plushies in the future <:? -What future features and plans does Valve have for Steam? Any sneak peak ideas to unveil or hint?
Wear a shirt that has all of these suggestions on them but don't mention them.
Wear a shirt that has all of these suggestions on them but don't mention them.
He would have to be almost as large as Gabe himself to have all of those suggestions written on his shirt. Play me off, Johnny!
I only want to know about the new SDK release / Source Filmmaker
-Can we expect more Valve plushies in the future <:?
I'm going to try hard to get one of those wheatley plushies I saw in the "Final Hours of Portal 2" Ipad thing.
i find it interesting that valve is the only game company that lets people go on tour. its pretty cool tbh my question: what are the new features in the Portal 2 SDK (if any)

They just have a lot of people ask them, so you hear about it more. Just off the top of my head, I've seen a few threads on the Bungie forums of people who got to take a tour of their studio.
Porting Steam to other platforms. They mentioned mobile devices, is it phones, iOS, actual gaming devices, if so which, are they going to get Steam on Linux, etc. [editline]6th May 2011[/editline]
I'm sure they're not the only developer that allow tours. They had arcade machines in their break room though, that was funny.
-snip, good job reading the thread-
Do you sell those mirrors? It'd be nice to put up in my office.
