Has Weekday Warrior been mentioned yet?
That mod was interesting.
That list. Some awesome mods there, but also some mods I've never heard about. I downloaded XCIX and I do not regret it. I am gonna try some others now.
I tried to sprinkle in some lesser-known ones. XCIX is a fantastic mod, one of my favorites. I'd recommend Comatose, too. Short but sweet puzzly mod.

You have a horrid taste in mods. Comatose is one of the most self indulgent pieces of crap scraped from the bottom of Russia I have ever played.
EDIT: Also to clarify. Earlier in the thread I said I playtested G-String and that it was amazing. I should have stated that was the unreleased V2, she fixed a ton of the weird level design stuff and it is no amazing. The current version isn't something I'd recommend. Just wait a year for V2 to be 100% finished.
I just played Minerva and while I recommend it, here are a few things you should know:
1. It's pretty easy. I didn't bother changing the difficult and went with whatever it gave me, and I don't know if the difficulty actually affects the gameplay too well, but it was pretty easy. Still fun and interesting, though.
2. It's also pretty easy to get lost. Holy hell was I roaming around in circles for a good portion of the game. Also, they break some of the HL2 rules in terms of what to expect, or how to advance in certain areas, and in general a lot of the ways to progress was a bit cryptic.
3. It's worthwhile.

After rewatching a video of it, you're right, it's not that good. I just remember liking it, but I played it ages ago.
Minerva is just a legend because it opened the doors of VALVe to their creator. It really shows to everybody how someone can tell a good story with only three maps (that are in fact five) and mostly with stock content.

It's fairly difficult on Hard difficulty since the enemies have more health/damage than in HL2, and you don't have the shotgun for much of the game so you have to mix up your strategy.
Slight off-topic but I'm sad that those guys switched to Unity.

Modular Combat is similar to HL2DM, but it adds in a system of points that allows you to upgrade and tweak your character to fight against various enemy AI.

Isn't Modular Combat completely dead? :v: Or didn't one of the HL2 updates completely break it and there was no update to fix that
I wish Monorail Quest would release. Looks incredible.
