umm Gameinformer, PSM and BSN? same place as everywhere/one esle? Why am I going to bother making up information. What you're positing is mostly supposition, not facts.

My theory on ME3's plot structure.
And your theory is borne of incomplete information and contradicted by on-the-books quotations from BioWare staff about the game's mechanics, regardless of plot.
And your theory is borne of incomplete information and contradicted by on-the-books quotations from BioWare staff about the game's mechanics, regardless of plot.
Based on points 1 and 5 of your post which still have no source? Anyway, let's do this thread a favour and not spam it with a petty argument.
Your failure to read isn't my problem, 1 and 5 are in GI, and 8 is directly from someone who works at BioWare. Subjective != Objective, and Opinions about Facts != Facts themselves. You're free to believe whatever you want, I have zero interest in changing your mind about anything. [editline]25th April 2011[/editline]
The guys at bioware must be feeling the pressure. This is one of the most anticipated conclusions in a very long time
will it be mod friendly though?
Never really saw the need for Mods in Mass Effect.
Never really saw the need for Mods in Mass Effect.
Most I've heard of are just screwy-aroundy ones. [editline]26th April 2011[/editline]
Full penetration sex scene mods
Not that kind of screwy-aroundy.
The guys at bioware must be feeling the pressure. This is one of the most anticipated conclusions in a very long time
My expectations are low. Looking back on ME2, the writing was pretty bad. Apparently DA2 was as well. Not to mention the sounds and the fact that they sucked the RPG out of it. I love ME and it's universe, but I don't really know how ME3 will turn out. :smith:

I love ME and it's universe, but I don't really know how ME3 will turn out. :smith:
NO. :colbert: 1) ME2, as a second act was about the characters, which were very well written. 2) What part of RPG did it suck out exactly? I see the fact that RPG elements no longer conflict with the shooter elements as a good thing, and the fact that they haven't been improved as passive elements, but mostly remain as special action elements as a negative thing. Inventory and loot was there. It's just tiring to see these claims without explanations outside BSN. -- 1) I can't guarantee you anything about ME3's plot. But the fact that it is in such an epic scale should make the game look amazing even if the writing is shoddy. 2) RPG elements are revamped as special active elements (upgraded powers and weapon modifications), and hopefully the same will happen with passive skills (larger skill tree)
They haven't actually commented on the paragon/renegade system, I'm curious to see what they did to it (hoping it's a hybrid of the ME1/ME2 system, excluding scenarios needing to have Paragon/Renegade points.)

You always have statistics, paragon, charm, renegade and intimidation points blocking your roleplaying. Just have you be able to use actual negotiation skills and the morality points altering your appearance or auto-dialogue.
You haven't been following ME3 at all have you?
Yeah, I have. Smaller Reapers is one of the things that worries me. Bringing them down easily at all worries me. Oh hey let's just build up this huge apocalyptic army for 2 full games, and when they finally get here they're pushovers. As far as ME2 writing goes, Miranda for one is just... a pile of crap. The story is too cliche, you can't ignore it. And I really dislike how they're making Shepard / humanity special. I can see how Shepard would be special to everyone BUT the Reapers. He had a hunch about Saren and was right about it so what. He got lucky but he's not special. Same with the rest of humanity and citidel species. He also did not kill the Reaper single handedly like the game universe would like you to believe. Again, it's cool if humans / aliens promote Shepard to god status, but not the Reapers. He / She should just be another organic to them. But again I can kind of get past all that (but it still worries me for the 3rd), but I can't get past the fucking weapon sounds. They're so horrible. They were fine in ME1. And LET ME FUCKING TAKE MY HELMET OFF BIOWARE GOD DAMN DON'T GIVE A BONUS TO NOT SEEING MY CHARACTER. Oh and they're making TIM a bad guy for no reason.
Oh and they're making TIM a bad guy for no reason.
What? He was always a bad guy. There's never been a point in the ME series where the Illusive Man wasn't an antagonist, directly or otherwise.

Oh and they're making TIM a bad guy for no reason.
What a krogan Reaper would look like? Big that's for sure. A human one would be, per definition, smaller than the krogan one. Sure, pushovers with the size of the Empire State Building or something. Uh, humanity is special because we are special. In less than 60 years, humanity got in a war against the turians, got a embassy in a few years (which takes at least 30 years to get), a Spectre and a seat on the Council in timespan of 4~6 months. Taking down Saren and 'his' invasion on the Citadel earned a lot of respect (read: fear) from Shepard, and humanity in general. The first game tell you that they fear humanity for being a 'sleeping giant'. And the end of the second game only proves that. [sp]One more reason why the Reapers are after Shepard and humanity.[/sp] And, you know, they made him a bad guy because was already one? To quote his section on Tvtropes:
Well-Intentioned Extremist: Though the "well-intentioned" part of it is entirely down to whether you agree with his notion - as some players inevitably do - that humanity has every right to crush the rest of the civilized galaxy under its collective foot and take charge.
Also a 'stolen quote' from the Evolution comic on MassEffectWikia: "Humanity must succeed because doing anything else would be inhuman."

The acquisition of the Collector Base further solidifies this. But yeah, getting an embassy normally takes 30 years, while some races have spent thousands of years as embassy members without getting a council seat (I'm looking at you Volus.)

Look at Cerberus. Doing some high secret experiments (Jack, anyone?) but keeping a 'low' profile. When shit hit the fan, aka the Collectors attack, they save Shepard and send him/her to destroy them. And s/he succeeds. I would be terrified to learn that a group of 12 people destroyed a entire race and their 'home' [sp]or kept it[/sp] and humanity was behind it, wouldn't you? [editline]26th April 2011[/editline] also
Sovereign is red, Harbinger is yellow. When Sovereign ASSUMES CONTROL of Saren, the possessed body is red.
I hope Garrus and Liara return as team mates. Also, Jack will properly not be welcomed back in ME3, though she would have a plotline for getting revenge on TIM. If you have a saved ME3 with everyone dead, except for Shepard, Garrus and Grunt being alive for a example, maybe the dead ones won't appear as squad mates, and be replaced by other characters. And alive ones make cameos. Whether the case, baww I want Wrex to return. Tali of course too.
Garrus and Liara are already confirmed to reappear as team members in ME3 :crossarms:
And did not Bioware say that Tali would not be a squadmate in ME3, But maybe NPC ?
And did not Bioware say that Tali would not be a squadmate in ME3, But maybe NPC ?
That, I haven't heard anything about.
That, I haven't heard anything about.
I doubt she will be, as looking at it story-wise, she'll most likely be fighting the geth on her homeworld.
And did not Bioware say that Tali would not be a squadmate in ME3, But maybe NPC ?
I recall that it was in the PSM article that she would be back. [editline]26th April 2011[/editline]
I doubt she will be, as looking at it story-wise, she'll most likely be fighting the geth on her homeworld.
You mean the geth homeworld.
[editline]26th April 2011[/editline] You mean the geth homeworld.
If I get the option, there won't be any homeworld...
If I get the option, there won't be any homeworld...
For either of them?
And did not Bioware say that Tali would not be a squadmate in ME3, But maybe NPC ?
Reading PSM is bad and you should feel bad.
