I used gibbed, I'll try this new tool. What's improved about it?
I used gibbed, I'll try this new tool. What's improved about it?
Not too sure, but I did the same thing as you and didn't get the Paragon dialogue with Gibbed's editor. This guy has provided a gameplay video showing the dialogue, so that's given me some incentive to go back and see if it will work for me. Alternatively, BioWare could have made a statement about this issue - especially after how Conrad Verner's multiple outcomes was one of the big examples used to explain the import feature.
They've said many times that Conrad was a bug, and since they're not releasing updates for ME anymore for some reason or another to fix it, they'll just go with what they've got.
It's kind of funny, cause if I remember right, the game doesn't even save which person you selected for council in ME1. If you start a new game with no one flagged as chosen, Miranda will ask you (which always seems to happen on an ME1 Import game). But if you edit it and choose Anderson/Undia. She won't ask you. (Your Save file contains the flag for it, but it doesn't get saved over.)
They've said many times that Conrad was a bug, and since they're not releasing updates for ME anymore for some reason or another to fix it, they'll just go with what they've got.
I haven't seen a single statement by a BioWare employee on this, could you link me to one?
hopefully in ME3, you'll see conrad and he will be all.. "YO SHEP YOU SHOT ME IN MY FUCKING FOOT!" conrad, i NEVER shot you in the foot "YOU DID! here's the bullet hole to prove it" for fuck sake conrad, there is nothing there
I wanna do that even though I did shoot him in the foot. Fuck with his head and deny reality, should work out well.
My Conrad fell into a turbine :saddowns:
My Conrad fell into a turbine :saddowns:
what? how?
what? how?

a news report will be heard reporting that Conrad has gotten himself killed attempting to capture transient youths hitching a ride on top of a bus. The report carries on detailing that Conrad fell from the bus, struck several passing cars and eventually fell into the power turbine of a bio-mass recycling facility.
:saddowns:
Sounds like Minimal effort
They could just patch the bug, adding a couple of lines for Conrad in ME2, or they could add the extra lines in ME3. They decided to go with the latter. Its not minimal effort, they just changed where they were focusing it.
While fixing Conrad, they could also fix Garrus' face glitch
I bet he's still calibrating.
I don't see the reason why to not to fix Conrad, covering it up makes me loose hope for ME3.
idk but i never got the glitch for conrad... he is never at that bar when i wasnt mean to him D:<
[sp]Mass Effect 3 will not be easy in terms of gameplay or story: players will be forced to make extremely difficult choices as the game progresses. Shepard may end up having to sacrifice entire civilizations for the greater good. There is a secret to destroying the Reapers, and a good portion of the plot will involve trying to figure out exactly what that secret is. However, once revealed, the price of that sort of power may higher than expected.[/sp]
Looks like we're getting a deus ex machinia after all, well fuck.
Looks like we're getting a deus ex machinia after all, well fuck.
Deus Ex Machina with a cost! $20 says there's an endgame decision where you choose to either destroy the Deus Ex Machina, or keep it for Humanity/The Council.
I hope there's a happy ending available for Conrad. I was nice to him in ME1 (though of course he forgot that) and in ME2 I let him think he busted an underground Red Sand ring. In ME3 I'd like to see him make something of himself. I mean come on, he's your number 1 fan!
No, it's not a Dues Ex Machina. A proper Dues Ex Machina would be going into the final fight and suddenly the Reapers all go into hibernation or every race suddenly believes in you and they all show up regardless of what you did and that's somehow good enough. A Dues Ex Machina would be something that happens in the final moment. What this is is either use of a previous Chekhov's gun to create a plot element and structure the entire game around that or just make something new for this game, either way it is not clumsily thrown in and is the core part of the game. It may be a magical solution to it but what did you think was going to happen? How would they do anything if a solution to the problem was not introduced? This is not in the final moment, this is throughout the entire game and has a proper buildup, definitely not a Dues Ex Machina. [editline]30th April 2011[/editline] ME3 is based completely around this solution to the problem. By definition is you have been searching for it the entire plot, discover it halfway through and implement it in the last part, that can't be a Dues Ex Machina.
In the end it turns out the Reapers have one weakness, one fear, one thing that they simply cannot hope to defeat. Pyjacks.

You then get an Illium announcement stating how Conrad Verner starts up a charity to help Batarian/Human refugees in the Terminus systems, calling him and his employees "Shepherds" to those in need.

Either way I think I convinced him he's some badass detective. Also, Batarian refugees? Conrad, you disappoint me.
:saddowns:
That's one hell of a way to go.
I want to read that spoiler so bad, how much does it spoil?
I want to read that spoiler so bad, how much does it spoil?
Enough to make me regret reading it.
Some more news. 1. [sp]Jack's hair won't be as shaved and she will be wearing a shirt.[/sp] 2. ME3 takes place [sp]2 months[/sp] after Arrival. 3. We will be able to visit [sp]Thessia, the asari homeworld.[/sp] 4. The Reapers have also created a [sp]a turian/krogan husk hybrid.[/sp] [editline]29th April 2011[/editline]
Looks like we're getting a deus ex machinia after all, well fuck.
A deus ex machina is a random thing that pops out of nowhere and gives a solution to everything. You are thinking of superweapon. We already know that there will be multiple red herrings.
No no-one left behind medal this time around? It seems like p much everyone dies
:20bux: says the key to killing the Reapers is dark energy.
