I hope they'll go with a trailer track that is only available for studios currently. It almost always kills the mood of the trailer for me if I've heard the song before, makes me automatically think some other trailer where I've heard it before and so on..
Is there are reason why breaking up with Tali is a Paragon/Renegade option while staying with her is the middle option?
because sticking your love pipe in her meat wallet and letting the man mayo flow, will kill her some time during the next game and dumping her saves her?.. i dunno, just idea.
Tali romance = she dies :saddowns:
LIES AND SLANDER!
because sticking your love pipe in her meat wallet and letting the man mayo flow, will kill her some time during the next game and dumping her saves her?.. i dunno, just idea.
This was a horrible thing to image and it's worse than my friends on XBL who talk about Tali sex. [editline]29th April 2011[/editline] Oh god, why did you write it like that. The mental images are terrible.
Glad thats been cleared up then.
[img_thumb]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v433/johnny_nocturnal/Mass%20Effect/tali3.jpg[/img_thumb] Glad thats been cleared up then.
Says "SR1" In the background.. this clears up fuck all. besides, thats just a placeholder
Ashely is now Tali. Okay, I guess Tali is replacing the competition with her clones or sisters or something. [editline]29th April 2011[/editline] Oh by the way, that's just a placeholder (obviously) and for anyone that wonders, Quarians have human faces (besides their ears, apparently, dunno details)
Hopefully Ash is still Ash. The dolling up just gives room for character growth, not reformation. I also really really hope Jack is still Jack. The same aggressive, psychotic, offensive, battleworn and tough as nails Jack. No need to turn her into a shell of herself just because she grew her hair and put on a shirt.
You realize by the time ME3 takes place (possibly several months after ME2), she has probably (depending on how you treated her) gotten mental and emotional therapy, right? I rather her show some progress with her issues, instead of being the same thing all over again. Just like in Real Life. Progress is slow, but you would notice it. [editline]29th April 2011[/editline] ( and I say possibly several, cause it is 2 after arrival, but we don't know how much time passed during ME2 itself) [editline]29th April 2011[/editline] ( okay, that makes no sense now that I think of it. But regardless, I'm sure she has been getting treatment during those months)
Well it really depends on what you consider her issues to be. If it's the trust issues and self-isolation then obviously she'll get better. If you think her attitude and general demeanour are an issue then nope. She's still a convict jumping from prisons and gangs all her life and the most powerful human biotic, she's still going to have a bit of attitude.
Her attitude is related to her issues. She has had obvious child abuse, neglect and possible sex abuse. Those all stem into her general psyche and personality and attitude. I don't expect a miracle over night, but I do expect her attitude to become a bit more relaxed. [editline]29th April 2011[/editline] Remember, hostile/angry attitudes are typically an emotional defense.
I would be disappointed if she was anything less then violent and foul-mouthed.
So you want the character to have no development at all including the factor that she has mental problems that would have gotten (at least some) treatment. :smith:
So? Regardless of her past she enjoys the crazy bitch she is now, that's who she is. Her past may have shaped her but it isn't going to be completely undone with some psychological counselling. She's hostile and angry towards everyone, not just those who try to get close to her. She was especially hostile to them before, that's what we want to change, not completely change who she is.
The "Crazy Bitch" part is connected to that and is all related, you change how she acts, you change that too.
She'll probably be less hosile to Shep and co. but still the same bitch we know to everyone else. Need to do a Jack romance run.
As I said before, she acts Angry and Hostile as a defense to keep people away from her. Once she's dealt more and more with her problems, she'll probably calm down a bit.
So you want the character to have no development at all including the factor that she has mental problems that would have gotten (at least some) treatment. :smith:
The only thing most people really changed about her was finally letting her come to terms with her past, I don't expect her to go, "I was an asshole before but now I'm a good person!" The damage was already done to her, she'll probably be more reserved in her outbursts sure, but she'll still be the same old Jack under that shirt.
So you want the character to have no development at all including the factor that she has mental problems that would have gotten (at least some) treatment. :smith:
Being an asshole is not a mental disorder. She can develop without becoming a sissy little girl. Let's put it another way. You want to change Miranda to someone completely different because she has daddy issues? Think she'd be someone different just because you solved them?

So I don't know where you're getting at. [editline]29th April 2011[/editline]
Being an asshole is not a mental disorder. They come from her problems, they stem from them.
People change, maybe not over night, but people can change and improve. So I don't know where you're getting at.
What do you expect to happen to her character, she starts to behave like she took a bottle full of valium?
People don't just act like "assholes" because of nothing. They do it from an external factor, whether it's abuse or pampering. [editline]29th April 2011[/editline]
What do you expect to happen to her character, she starts to behave like she took a bottle full of valium?
No, but I expect her to calm down a little. [editline]29th April 2011[/editline] It seems like you guys can't grasp the idea of her gradually getting to terms and grips with herself and changing as a person.
:20bux: says the key to killing the Reapers is dark energy.
Does this mean Sheperd is going to need an unexpected ally to help him take down the reapers?
I speak from experience with my boyfriend being slightly abusive and having emotional outbursts when I first was with him months ago. (and he has a history of child abuse/neglect/depression/suicide attempts) People change. I know that's IRL and not a game, but if you want believable people and storylines, it needs to reflect reality. [editline]29th April 2011[/editline] Thanks for breaking my automerge. gg

It happens. I mean she is a mass murderer.
As I said before, she acts Angry and Hostile as a defense to keep people away from her. Once she's dealt more and more with her problems, she'll probably calm down a bit.
She doesn't consciously think of that, it's a developed part of her personality that has roots in keeping people at a distance. It also has roots in being part of a ton of gangs and cults. It is who she is, not a problem with her. If you want to go through and condition her to root out everything of her past and fix it you're going to fuck with her head a lot more than she already was. She is an asshole. It doesn't matter what the origins of this attitude were, that's who she is. She's happy with who she is, and after getting over the inability to let people close to her, she's probably just as happy.
People don't just act like "assholes" because of nothing. They do it from an external factor, whether it's abuse or pampering.
She's been an asshole all her life, sure I'd expect her to be less casually psychotic but she'll still be a foul-mouthed bitch.
Or maybe she's genuinely and medically psychopathic. It happens. I mean she is a mass murderer.
Maybe, Maybe. But I still expect her to relax just a *tad*

You know, things that effect the way you act because of your brain chemistry? Jack's brain was fucked with, who knows how that shit works now.

It's not "who" she is, people change. It just so happens that a lot of your foundations are during child-hood. I think a child-hood of abuse would make anyone a fuck up asshole. I'm also sure in their spare time the characters would think and do their own thing, considering she also can get access to Cerberus files. And yes, I suffer depression as does my boyfriend, so thanks. I do know what it's like to have a disorder where I want to kill myself at random times.
