The religious significance is because Reapers are megalomaniacal machines with God complexes.
Well, in their defense. They've lived for ages and have driven countless numbers of species to extinction, and then patiently watched as life grew back again. It would be pretty hard to not think highly of yourself after that.
I have two theories for this. based off what you did with the collector base
[sp]1. If you blew it up hes pissed[/sp]
[sp]2. If you didn't blow it up, he got indoctrinated somehow... yeah I didn't think that through[/sp]
[sp]3. He was indoctrinated/got seeds of indoctrination from the Arc Monolith contact[/sp]
Also yeah Dragon's Teeth are reaper tech.
Husks in general are Reaper tech, the process of replacing organic matter and water with circuitry in an already living (or dead) body is all them. Dragon's Teeth were given to the Geth as they are fast and can be used with prisoners and corpses from battlefields, it is made of note several times that they wonder why the Geth have this technology.
The Collectors converted ones they abducted into husks through an unknown process and experimented a bit more to create other beings beyond basic husks. They could do this as they had time, took prisoners away and needed shock troops. The Reapers also use husks and convert them through an unknown process, it is imagined this is how the derelict Reaper husks came into being also. When the Reapers arrived, they experimented more on the subjects in a much more advanced way than the Collectors did as they required more than just shock troops.

You know in ME1, that Prothean vision?
It contained something that had to do with ME2, 0:12.
Maybe there could be something in there for ME3?
Just a wild guessing, no need to get mad.
Except for the fact that the Reapers are comnig.

brb becoming Garrus.
[editline]12th May 2011[/editline]
It took 10 minutes to calibrate that thing

I think that video is edited to be honest.
I think that video is edited to be honest.
It isn't. That's what happens like three or four fucking times in the first game. Every time after a mission after you get Liara, and once when [sp]you encounter Shiala.[/sp]
Ok, I found out the video is real but it is from Mass Effect 2 not Mass Effect 1, I've never actually played this mission before.

I also just checked the video description.
Okay, so it seems a few of you have some obvious problems.
The Collector is from the vision from Mass Effect 2!
There's no reference to the collectors or anything related to ME2 in ME1!!!
True story:
I didn't even fucking see the collectors in that video, I just assumed like an asshole that it was the same vision from the first. I actually had to watch it twice just now to catch it, fuck me.
That kind of video (Fast paced doom and terror and shit) always gets me. The one that comes if you fail on Arrival is probably my favorite for now
:ohdear: Kelly

That scream...
That scream...
wow just watched the video for that online and completely missed it the first time. That's creepy as fuck.
The scream is scary, But the face :ohdear:
Hey, remember when you guys called me stupid for suggesting ME3 have giant mechas?
suck it
Never.
The worst bit is the growing bits of organic matter with the circuitry digging into them. The soft, squishy, pulsating goo, as disgusting as it may be, bastardised by foreign machines and slowly killed. Good reference for the husks and therefore the Reapers, many different metaphorical levels for it.

I need to go to the bathroom. I'm going to be sick.
I hate that image.
I still have to skip the scene where Lilith dies every time I play the second game. It's way too creepy.
Why are you people so squeamish
DAMMIT, I hate lock-in dialouge. Ecpecially when it's super subtle and it just blindsides you. I make an off the record remark about Legion being good for cerebus, then BAM, I can't use him anymore.
I thought it was just dialouge option, they should really fucking warn you when one tiny bit of vauge dialouge is going to make a massive gameplay change.
I like it this way better, though the short text on the wheel could sometimes be more descriptive
I always interpret what the wheel says as something they don't play the audio for but is still said in the context of the universe. Whatever she says after clicking the wheel is just adding on to that. It's really hard to describe.

I think I know what you mean. Whatever you pick on the wheel is how the other person in the conversation will perceive what you say.
Not exactly, but that's a pretty neat way to think about it.
I just threw this together.

Where in the context of the game she says "Speak for yourself, the bombing on Illium...". Shepard doesn't say "Speak for yourself" in the game, but I always thought they just cut out that bit of dialogue. It keeps the dialogue interesting so the player just doesn't have to hear everything back. I might be wrong on this, but that's how I thought about it ever since the first game came out.

This never occurred to me, but now that it's been pointed out, I have to say that it makes sense. Nice observation.

They did that with DA2. Everyone hated it.
But I know what you mean, nothing drastic happened in my playthroughs, but I pick dialogue options thinking they're funny and they come off sounding like an ass.

Well it's nice to know at least someone doesn't think I'm a moron. :v:

Rated heart. <3
The only time I can remember where the dialogue wheel has confused me was the "love?" option when talking to Miranda. I thought Shepard was going to ask her about love or some romantic/space dreamboat thing like that but instead he just says "Love? I"m just trying to get into your pants"

Who doesn't? :smug:
While I was mindlessly browsing the Half-Life wiki, i found this:

Kinda reminds me of Legion :v:
