Look at it this way; you'll probably see Tali get killed during the Geth vs. Quarian mission if you side with the Geth, or at least watch as you basically sentence her species to extinction by being forced off their homeworld for the last time.

Tali is cool, but I really don't have any interest in her character. I'm more interested in Legion, Mordin, and Garrus.
The rest of the characters don't really appeal to me as much as those three.

Add Wrex to that list and that's all the characters I like. Bioware is good at making these hollow characters that I don't give two shits about.

Right which is why he should've come back in ME3 as a squaddie.
Also he seemed... different in the second one. And not for the better. Hopefully he's back to his old ways in the third (since he's confirmed as being in it)

Sucks Wrex won't be a squad mate, but I understand, he's got shit to do. But I can see no reason why Legion can't be in the squad in ME3. It's not like he needs to go back to Geth space, he can just transmit data at the speed of light to the rest of the collective, and he knows the Reapers are about to fuck shit up and Shepard needs his help. If he isn't a full squadie I will go on a murderous rampage (or bitch about it on the internet, either one works).

I can't help but think that you'll be able to send a few of your squadmates off for the end of the game (or be forced to depending on decisions made). Like Legion and Tali can coordinate and lead their respective races into battle, or they will leave at a certain point to rally the troops.
I can see Wrex being a temporary companion for a certain mission or something of that nature, but I don't think he'll be leaving his people. I think it would also make sense for Wrex to have a scripted death in the last game as well, something big like a heroic sacrifice to take down a Reaper or something of that nature. He has the 'too cool to live' vibe seething out of him.

Yeah, I can see him doing a sacrifice for the survival of his people. And now that you mentioned Legion/Tali. Maybe if you made them work together after their fight, They will convince they respective leaders and join in on a joint species fleet against the reapers. That would be amazing to see.
