Would of taken a while to completely indoctrinate the entire species.
Actually all they would need to do is indoctrinate the queens as they are a hive species. Still, the current Queen (and probably all subsequent ones) will know what happened in the past and be very wary of the Reapers or anything that could get them indoctrinated.

Her dedication to the Alliance is annoying, as is her whole "girl power" story about her sisters. Still better than Kaidan though, also honest about her shortcomings with that other people say things better than I could line.

In his last moments, he realised how useless he was and committed suicide by bomb.
Ash puts on a brave yessir attitude and goes does it selflessly. Kaidan sounds like he isn't even aware of what he's doing. He's got almost no emotional reaction at all, to anything.
