Have fun and remember to play the second Mass Effect.
Hang on I haven't played ME1 and i'm at the reaper IFF Should I start running?
Hang on I haven't played ME1 and i'm at the reaper IFF Should I start running?
I am dissapointed in you for playing ME2 before ME1. But there's no way you'll be able to play the first one now, going from ME2 to ME1 is such a transition.
Okay guys, about to install Mass Effect (the original one) since I've never played the series and everybody says I'm a gigantic idiot because of that. Anything I should know before I dabble myself into a universe full of unnecessary calibrations?
You don't have to worry about Calibrations just yet. Incidently, when you meet a fellow called Garrus, be sure to chat to him lots, because by the time ME2 comes around he wont have any time for you :smith:
Hang on I haven't played ME1 and i'm at the reaper IFF Should I start running?
Maybe. You'll survive but you'll miss out on a lot. But as Weekend said, It's annoying to play ME1 after playing ME2
Wonder if bioware will do a remastered version (Like how metroid prime as remastered in metroid prime trilogy)
Gameplay wise.
Okay, configuration utility crashing because of a bug. Now downloading patch 1.2 for ME...(great first impressions!)
Gameplay wise.
That's what I meant
Okay, configuration utility crashing because of a bug. Now downloading patch 1.2 for ME...(great first impressions!)
Oh, save a lot. Not a few times, a lot of times.
Oh, save a lot. Not a few times, a lot of times.
Learned that the hard way a few days ago. Lost like 45 min progress due to Shepard standing like a windmill after being hit
I am dissapointed in you for playing ME2 before ME1. But there's no way you'll be able to play the first one now, going from ME2 to ME1 is such a transition.
Oh fuck GRENADE
So I got a free copy of ME2 due to owning Dragon Age 2. If I don't play ME1, will I miss out on important information on the story and everything or does ME2 do a good job at explaining everything that's going on in the game world?
Oh, save a lot. Not a few times, a lot of times.
Bind Quicksave to Mouse1.
Mass Effect 2 is a standalone game, like Dragon Age 2, you don't need to play the game to understand everything, but if you did, it'll be better.
Thanks. I heard ME2 is a better game than ME1, and don't want to buy and play through hours of an apparently worse game just because I got it's better sequel for free. Maybe if I like ME2 I'll end up getting ME3... sneaky Bioware, really sneaky.
posted it in FA, might as well post it here too http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/07/mass-effect-anime-jumps-home-in-2012/
Oh fuck GRENADE
Fuck, That startled me while playing LotSB for the first time Those dammed flashbangs scared the shit out of me
I'll tell you what bothered me even more about the thermal clip thing. When Zaeed is talking about his old rifle (Bessie or whatever), he says about a time when he went mental and shot like a hundred guys with it, and then he says something like "I don't remember ejecting a thermal clip once the entire time". Well obviously not because at the time when he did this thermal clips didn't exist. Unless it was meant to be a joke referencing the change from ME1? If so it wasn't a very good one.
I disagree, I found it great. :colbert:
[img_thumb]http://media1.gameinformer.com/imagefeed/featured/electronic-arts/bioware/masseffect3/may2011cover1280.jpg[/img_thumb] idk if it was posted before.
:flashfap:
Fuck, That startled me while playing LotSB for the first time Those dammed flashbangs scared the shit out of me
Not quite what I meant. In ME1, the default button for grenade is F NOW imagine transitioning from ME2 to ME1
[img_thumb]http://media1.gameinformer.com/imagefeed/featured/electronic-arts/bioware/masseffect3/may2011cover1280.jpg[/img_thumb]
It's OK guys, we only lost Africa.
reaper on gameinformer
Are they charging to Earth(the fire behind them). Awesome. Also, me thinks we be boned.
Earth takes a lot of shit man.
I can imagine the reapers streaking through the atmosphere like asteroids. Hitting the atmosphere at like 50.000 km /h would make one hell of an entrance
Not quite what I meant. In ME1, the default button for grenade is F NOW imagine transitioning from ME2 to ME1
You know, you can always change the controls. [editline]7th April 2011[/editline]
Thanks. There are things that are better in first (RPG elements, sense of epicness, story) and things that are better on the second (Combat, squad characters [probably], the lack of Mako). You'll be really missing out by not playing the first one.
So, um >Every nesecarry ship upgrade >Everyone but jack loyal >Do reaper IFF? Ill prolly take tali and garrus again >Any precautions?
So, um >Every nesecarry ship upgrade >Everyone but jack loyal >Do reaper IFF? Ill prolly take tali and garrus again >Any precautions?
Make sure that you have like every ammo extending upgrade and armor piece. I always find myself on the brink of using my fists against Scions on that mission
Cant wait until I can continue the escapades of Beefy Spew Shepard.

I mean hell, why so objective about it anyway? Mass Effect is a perfectly fine game. But really, I don't understand people like you. Where is the logic in this? I am sorry. "Oh, I'm going to get the sequel to a heavily story-based game series that includes save importing which will change the plot of ME2 and ME3. But I'm not going to get the first game at all."
