Thread music [editline]30th March 2011[/editline] I've got news!
Fuck. I'm trying to avoid all ME3 related media to prevent spoilers, but it looks like that's going to be easier said than done.
Heh, I hope ME3 has a ridiculously complicated quest that ends up with all vorcha on Omega dead. Anyway, Arrival was really awesome IMO, just the fact that you couldn't bring any squadmembers along was kinda meh. Screams laziness to me.
What I don't get it is, why do all your other friends/team members get indoctrinated, but poor Kelly gets eaten? I understand it's probably Bioware being lazy and recycling animations, but I'm talking about an in-universe explanation. Maybe she's just not special enough?
The others probably get juiced as well only offscreen.
So, what tricks does Gavorn exactly use?
Surprise, fear, comfy chair

Well played.
Is there a good LP of Arrival, I doubt I will be able to play any DLC in the forseeable future.
Anyone got a link to the Arrival Trailer? Thanks. :buddy:
Oh man, Mass Effect OSTs are great.
I've completed Arrival, and I think it was too short(even if it was rad as hell).
Where did the [sp]hologram of harbinger[/sp] come from at the end of Arrival anyways? It just seemed odd for it to appear suddenly.
Where did the [sp]hologram of harbinger[/sp] come from at the end of Arrival anyways? It just seemed odd for it to appear suddenly.
It came from [sp]Shepard activating the communications tower. Remember, Harbinger (somehow) seems to always be watching Shepard.[/sp]
lol it looks more like IRL Yvonne than Miranda also no Drew Karpyshyn what
wait so drew isn't even writing the books anymore? this sucks :saddowns:
It came from [sp]Shepard activating the communications tower. Remember, Harbinger (somehow) seems to always be watching Shepard.[/sp]
He's Shepard's biggest fan. Literally.
He's Shepard's biggest fan. Literally.
Physically, but Legion is over 900 of Shepard's biggest fans.
Harbinger is actually the GMan.
Physically, but Legion is over 900 of Shepard's biggest fans.
Aren't Reapers billions of different minds though?
Quite possibly my biggest hope for ME3: I want charm and intimidate to be seperate from paragon/renegade points again. That was definately the stupidest change from ME1 to ME2. Because rather than do what you think is the right choice, it greatly encourages you to stick with either paragon or renegade, otherwise you miss out on conversation options.

I mean, I go virtually pure renegade, but what if I did that and was forced to sell Legion instead of keeping him? What if people want to be renegade but also destroy the Collector base? I like the ME2 system much more. You can actually make decisions based off of your morals/personal beliefs instead of being all "Well, I'd like to make that decision here but didn't put enough points in that stat :("
Not to mention it's very easy to mod the game to give you max paragon/renegade so you can pick any choice you want.
I played ME1 on the PC, but ME2 on console. Planning on getting ME3 for the console as well, so no modding for me.

I play mostly paragon, but I like to make renegade decisions when it felt right, or cooler. But in general ME2 seemed to try and keep you on one path. The conflicts between squad mates being the most notible example that comes to my mind. It seems to vary between people, but in my first playthrough I had a pretty high paragon bar (and a little bit of renegade), yet I couldn't resolve it. In ME1 I didn't feel restricted at all in that sense.
I loved the gameplay of Arrival but man was it short. [sp]Didnt warn the batarians and shot the doctor[/sp] like a boss

ME2 is the one where you have to stick to one side to get the most points rather than choose what you think is right.
What happens if [sp]we warn the batarians and don't shoot the doctor?[/sp]
What happens if [sp]we warn the batarians and don't shoot the doctor?[/sp]
I too would like to know this. Might replay it later to find out.
I think you have it backwards. ME2 is the one where you have to stick to one side to get the most points rather than choose what you think is right.
I don't know what game y'all are playing. People talk about how it's difficult to fill the bars and whatnot, I've had no such problems. You don't have to stick to any path to the letter if you do certain mission in the proper order. For example, Samara's loyalty mission demands a lot of either one, as does Tali's. I finish most of my playthroughs with a completely filled renegade bar and a section of the paragon bar filled, completely able to make paragon choices whenever I wanted to. I didn't like how you had to sacrifice improving your combat effectiveness in order to be a more charismatic person in ME1, that's such a dumb concept.
What happens if [sp]we warn the batarians and don't shoot the doctor?[/sp]
Nothing changes from what I can tell.
What happens if [sp]we warn the batarians and don't shoot the doctor?[/sp]
Nothing. [sp]Kenson cuts off the transmission to the Batarians, and she still blows up anyway. Your dialogue with Hackett changes though.[/sp]
What happens if [sp]we warn the batarians and don't shoot the doctor?[/sp]
[sp]Doctor blows herself up after ranting for a bit, you get cut off when trying to warn the batarians. [/sp] So yeah nothing changes. [editline]30th March 2011[/editline] Ninjas
