Hope ME3 will have AA that wont rape FPS
Gainward 295 Gtx. You sure? :smug:
EVGA Superclocked 460GTX :smug:
Modern video card aren't optimized to run SSAA [editline]8th April 2011[/editline] Also 460 1GB here [editline]8th April 2011[/editline] I run 4xAA in ME2 as 8x and upwards just reduces the framerate below my comfortable limit, which is around 40
I don't even notice jaggies and I don't use AA
EVGA Superclocked 460GTX :smug:
Damn you. :arghfist::v: But I'm assuming that my graphics card will handle the settings I set?
Damn, Kaidan looks like a bro now, shame I had to choose between him and Ashley. Good God, imagine what Legion or Garrus will look like now (especially once the wound he sustained scars over.)
2xAA isn't that much to make a difference but honestly 4x and upwards it's very noticeable I usually don't use AA either as a high resolution is enough to keep jaggies unnoticeable, but in ME2 I'm always delighted when the title screen with the diagonal crossbeams etc has no jaggies at all
Damn you. :arghfist::v: But I'm assuming that my graphics card will handle the settings I set?
Might be able to. Might be overkill. Try it out, it's not like your PC is going to go burst into flames.
Damn you. :arghfist::v: But I'm assuming that my graphics card will handle the settings I set?
I wouldn't try 16xAA, really. It gave me framerate dips which made playing a bit uncomfortable. Go with 8x and reduce it if necessary. AF won't affect your performance much at all so that you can keep at max
I only care about jaggedness in multiplayer games with large view distances. since it can hinder target acquisition at long ranges. On my old computer I had to play Project Reality with no AA. I found myself shooting at jaggies since I thought they were enemy helmets popping up over a hill.
[img_thumb]http://i.cubeupload.com/KzRziO.png[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i.cubeupload.com/qHi7pN.png[/img_thumb] 2 different asari :q: :flashfap:
Damn ugly
All right, here we go people. Let's hope my graphics card can handle it. Will be surprised if it can't handle the Unreal 3 engine, as it's not that beautiful, nor demanding.

AA smoothes out hills etc and blends colors, so if one pixel of someone's helmet peeked over a hill I might not be able to see it if I had AA.

Let's see what my PC can do. [editline]8th April 2011[/editline] Damnit, Y U BREK AUTOMERGE?
pff, twitter? Make a facebook page, then we'll see. [editline]8th April 2011[/editline] also just noticed the visor on the bird, nice touch
I don't like social networks that much, but some features of Twitter help, imo. Seeing as this thread has exploded, I assume that everyone knows about the info from GameInformer, anyway, just in case you need a link to the Confirmed Features thread.

I hope, in the event that all squad members from Mass Effect 2 do not appear as squad members, they show up throughout the game doing some other stuff based on your actions with them. I kind of doubt they'll leave the characters out, though. It seems odd to me that they would design these characters, each with some sort of fan base and purpose on the mission and then leave them absent from your squad in the End Game. For instance, a 'Perfect Game'- where everyone's loyal and shit's good- everyone has a renewed resolve to be at Shepard's side. It doesn't seem to make sense that they disband after the Suicide Mission... you know, the whole "won the battle, not the war" thing? Romance characters seem especially 'vital' to be in the finale. If you're going to feel full consequence of cheating on your romance from Mass Effect then it seems more likely that romance characters will return. That is to say: Thane, Miranda, Jack, Tali, and Jacob all seem necessary to return to your crew. Mordin I think will be with you, just not as a squad member. I think he'll be someone who remains on the ship (Especially considering that's the kind of role he seemed best suited for- like Tali in Mass Effect). He would probably be like the ship's doctor and lead scientist. Maybe even helping Chakwas. I'd like to see how this new guy is going to be, and whether or not if there are more new squad members on the way (One batarian squaddie is all I ask, please!). I have too much to say about squad members... I'll leave it at that. Cerberus trying to kill Shepard is interesting... given that neither decision at the end of Mass Effect 2 really calls for Shepard to be silenced. So, it may be something else. Maybe due to something said or presented at the trial. Not to mention, what does that say for Miranda, Jacob, and the rest of the Cerberus crew members? None of them seemed sworn to Cerberus as Miranda did (whom herself, given you played your cards right, seems more loyal to Shepard). Does this mean that you are now completely segregated from Cerberus and barely a part of the Alliance? That would explain Ashley/Kaidan's presence. Does this also mean that your outfit, ship, and crew will be customizable? If you are not part of these factions, it seems likely that you would be able to go your own way and design the color schemes for uniforms and your ship's coat. Maybe you will even get to fully customize your squad members. Matching uniforms kind of thing. Last thing I'll talk about for now... Mass Effect Anime... Some of you may know this- others perhaps not- but I DEEPLY loathe anime. Now, to be fair there are some animes I have liked, so I will remain open to the idea of Mass Effect in an anime form. That is, of course, if they gear towards anime's acute attention to detail and skillful artistry and refrain from the anime antics. That means, no spiky hair-dos, no annoying female characters being more macho than guys, no anime 'humor', and all those little clichés that you see in just about every anime. If it has an Akira-like grit or Miyazaki detail I'll be content (at least from an animation stand-point). I'm not sure whether to trust FUNimation to make it good or not, but nonetheless I'll wait until I see it.

It'll probably be something similar to the Dead Space animes. Also maybe you can only use certain teammates in certain sectors of space, like you have a set amount of "on the ship" squadmates and then you could travel to Tuchanka to help repel Reapers with Grunt as a temporary squadmate.

I'm like Captain America from Generation Kill in video games.
That style died long ago. It'll probably be something similar to the Dead Space animes.
That may be true. I think they have the potential to make a good realistic anime Mass Effect movie though. I just hope it doesn't go all... Gundam Seed style or some shit.
Also maybe you can only use certain teammates in certain sectors of space, like you have a set amount of "on the ship" squadmates and then you could travel to Tuchanka to help repel Reapers with Grunt as a temporary squadmate.
That sounds like a possibility. Right now, the team seems convoluted with squad members. To compromise, without lacking, it seems likely that characters will show up on a mission- granted that they survived- and be with you for that mission and maybe help towards the final battle in some small way. Grunt, I would think would stick with Shepard though. Shepard is his Battlemaster (again if you played your cards that way) and in a way that's like family. Wrex may follow suit in the Substitute Squad Member role though.

And shoot at warehouses
Guys Who should lead squad 2? No-one has died yet.
Guys Who should lead squad 2? No-one has died yet.
garrus
Guys Who should lead squad 2? No-one has died yet.
Garrus, Jacob or Miranda. Miranda will work, even if she's not loyal.
Does someone have the links to the HD ME2 character models? Trying to make this ME2 playthrough as pretty as possible, so I'm going all in. [editline]8th April 2011[/editline] Found 'em! Here's the link for anyone who may be interested. http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1052033-Mass-Effect-2-High-Resolution-Texture-Mod
