I can see the distance that an "average" Reaper is supposed to be (2km or thereabouts) while looking out my front door, and I assure you that it's nowhere near as far as you would imply. Also, the Thresher Maws are at least twice as large as you suggest and this one is potentially much larger. Tell me, can a 6ft tall man be tripped if a small garden hose is wrapped around his legs sufficiently? Is that at least possible? If so, then does it not follow that an intelligent, more massive, and aggressive Thresher can not at least temporarily subdue a Reaper?
Reapers don't walk, But i see your point. Let's say you throw a small rock at a bird for a better example. Hit it in a good spot and even a stone a 10'th of the size of the bird could probably at least disorient it for a short while

Hit it in a good spot and even a stone a 10'th of the size of the bird could probably at least disorient it for a short while
That analogy breaks down when you take into account that a Reaper stays in the air because of a mechanical system pushing a current through tonnes of element zero and not on flapping of wings/orientation in the air. Blow a hole through the Reaper and sure, I could see it coming down pretty easily. But a Thresher Maw trying to pull it into the ground? Well, look at Sovereign. He was able to lift what's probably a few million tonnes of mass fast enough to achieve escape velocity (which is no mean feat). I don't see a Thresher Maw being too much of a worry to a Reaper the size of Sovereign.
Wrex, Mordin, Anderson and Legion are stated to return as NPC's only.
If it is the same source, as it is supposed to be, are these supposed to return, but not necessarily be squaddies?
There's a new game in development where you get to group with with Fenris, Garrus and Thane to go around the galaxy killing bad guys.
Yeah, here you go: Can anyone make out what it says? EDIT: Characters ??? too or heard during our ??? (possibly playable)

I don't see a Thresher Maw being too much of a worry to a Reaper the size of Sovereign.
From the mass effect Wiki on Thresher Maws
They can grow to be in excess of 30 metres tall above the ground, with a body nearly twice that size beneath the surface
That could give them some mass to put up against a Reaper but the interesting part comes here And a bit further down
Their attacks consist of spitting powerful viscous acid that splashes on contact, burrowing up from beneath their prey, and smashing with their claws in close range while emitting infrasound. Due to the nature of their attacks, they completely ignore shields.
While the size difference is something to consider, Infrasound could travel through the hull and maybe damage electronics inside, Temporarily disabling the reaper. But it would quickly repair/Reroute away from the damage and therefore we would see it coming up from the ground shortly after And the image of a reaper flapping it's tentacles to fly was funny :v: And here is thought that might indicate Thresher maws bigger then the norm, Lock ness monster style http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Cerberus_Daily_News_-_November_2010#11.2F12.2F2010_-_Photo_Revives_Debate_Over_Tuchanka.27s_.22Colossal_Thresher_Maw.22
Yeah, here you go: [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/gileak.png[/img_thumb] Can anyone make out what it says?
I can't see anything, When i follow the link i get image error
Damn, that would be awesome to get as a weapon. Make acid torpedos and smaller fighters emitting the infrasound. Fuck up Reapers without getting through their shields.

Well, disruptor torpedoes can bypass shields, so I suppose that something like that could be done for small arms too? [editline]10th April 2011[/editline]
Characters not seen or heard during our ???
Hmm, why are they even mentioning them? There are a lot of other characters that haven't been confirmed.
I'm tempted to exploit that bug to get infinite paragon points using that thieving bastard of a monkey on Eletania. But... I'd hate it if BioWare put some system into ME3 which recognised you'd done that and it invalidated your save.
^They can, it was said that there will be repercussions if you cheat on games in ME1. I think. So you properly shouldn't do it. I like to see what happens.
^They can, it was said that there will be repercussions if you cheat on games in ME1. I think. So you properly shouldn't do it. I like to see what happens.
Shit. What if you accidentally did it the once or twice (like 10 or so extra paragon/renegade points) without knowing? That'd piss me off if that happened and I lost my save.
Well, disruptor torpedoes can bypass shields, so I suppose that something like that could be done for small arms too?
Isn't that mostly because they are slow moving projectiles and shields only look out for high velocity projectiles? In that case, we'd have to check if it's the slow speed of the acid or the infrasound that disables shields. If it's the infrasound, drones or small fighters that latch onto the ship and emit that sound would be perfect.
The only cheating that will have repercussions is cheating your LIs. But exploiting the Eletania bug may make your save un-importable in ME2.
The only cheating that will have repercussions is cheating your LIs. But exploiting the Eletania bug may make your save un-importable in ME2.
I did it by accident but reloaded my previous save and didn't do it, so I should be good.
Characters not seen or heard during our demo. (possibly playable)
Anyway, these are all of the new scans we have from GameInformer: Kicking some Cerberus ass. Not bad, not bad at all.

They used to work. :argh: Anyway, http://gamingeverything.com/?p=3166&pid=1117
Right click and then view image.
The first and the last seem to work now. [editline]10th April 2011[/editline] Nah
Only the first work for me
Whoa, graphics look quite improved. Either that, or I'm still de-toxing from the ME graphics, and getting used the ME2 graphics.
Characters not seen or heard during our ???
Negative, "Characters we saw or heard during our [something]; possibly playable."
"Characters we saw or heard during our demo; possibly playable."
That makes sense. It's the only word I couldn't make out (obviously).
We have successfully decoded the code. And it sounds good, Still hoping on a squaddie Mordin though
I see Liara in the second Mass Effect 3 scan so I'm pretty sure she's confirmed a Team mate. I'm probably late though.
Whoa...those Cerberus troopers look FIERCE.
