Mmm, judging by those pictures, the Mattock Assault Rifle is coming back =]
"Characters we saw or heard during our demo; possibly playable."
So, there isn't a 'not' there? That sounds good.
so now I don't know how you guys look at "cheating" people, but either way, is there any way to get the anti material rifle off the start of the game? if you can even use the antimaterial rifle that is, I wouldn't know.

Whoa, graphics look quite improved. Either that, or I'm still de-toxing from the ME graphics, and getting used the ME2 graphics.
Well them, system requirements better remain the same so I can play it.
Am I the only one who doesn't like the look of these Cerberus kill squads? This armour looks as if it was taken from Starcraft.
I just hope there won't be some sort of anti-climax. Something like Shepard will somehow destroy all Reapers in the entire galaxy and the cycle will never happen again because there are no Reapers left. Or that Shepard will find something "spectacular" that ruins the game. With that I thought of something like an ancient Prothean corpse, who turns out to be a soldier, hooked up to tubes and it'd take time and massive rescources to resurrect him/her. But I'm sure there won't be anything like that.
Am I the only one who doesn't like the look of these Cerberus kill squads? For me, The armor that the Shadow Broker men used was pretty cool. Voice modulation did it's work too
I don't understand why people are complaining so much when the game is released in like 7 or 8 months and we have close to zero details on how things work. Ex. The whole Thresher Maw thing. We don't know if the thresher maw is larger than average, we don't if the reaper is smaller than average, if its a mix of both, we don't know the complete circumstances since the info came from a secondary source, etc. You're just using assumptions to complain about something we know little about. When we have more details it'll be more valid to complain, but now? Seriously guys
Canuhearme?, I have a present for you. From the 'What I really love in Arrival....' thread:
(3) The continuation of the salvation/ascension theme in Harbinger's lines. The mystery is still unsolved: why are they doing this? Why do they want Shepard alive? Is it possible that there is actually a point in it?
She has a point. They don't do this just to reproduce.
Nah, the Subjects would maintain a bit of individuality when being gooed and Shepard would provide some top quality genetic material which would be very useful in making a decent Reaper. Question remains though if making more Reapers out of different species is for any higher purpose or if they just consider becoming a Reaper already a higher state of existence.
Any high resolution scans yet? You'd have thought someone with a decent scanner would have a copy by now.
I've not played ME1 in a while (completing it for a final, perfect run-through of 1 and 2), so someone remind me: how does electronics/decryption determine what you can break into? I forgot to take someone with Decryption onto Feros with me, but so far Liara's Electronic skill seems to have been sufficient to bypass any door, or open any secure crate I've found.
Damn, that would be awesome to get as a weapon. Make acid torpedos and smaller fighters emitting the infrasound. Fuck up Reapers without getting through their shields.
Sound, in space?
^They can, it was said that there will be repercussions if you cheat on games in ME1. I think. So you properly shouldn't do it. I like to see what happens.
That was about LIs.
That analogy breaks down when you take into account that a Reaper stays in the air because of a mechanical system pushing a current through tonnes of element zero and not on flapping of wings/orientation in the air. Blow a hole through the Reaper and sure, I could see it coming down pretty easily. But a Thresher Maw trying to pull it into the ground? Well, look at Sovereign. He was able to lift what's probably a few million tonnes of mass fast enough to achieve escape velocity (which is no mean feat). I don't see a Thresher Maw being too much of a worry to a Reaper the size of Sovereign.
Few million tons? Nope, its mass effect field reduces the mass considerably.
Sound, in space?
I know but if slow moving objects can pass through shields then just send a small drone or something to attach to the side of the ship and generate the sound. The ship wouldn't insulate it as much and the sound waves would get to the shield generator having the same effect.
Looks like the GI article will be up on their website tomorrow. [editline]10th April 2011[/editline]
Speaking of the ending of ME3; you think there will be sort of a "We'll be back"?
Speaking of the ending of ME3; you think there will be sort of a "We'll be back"?
The ending will be the Turian Councilor in an Mental Asylum crying in a corner with his hands over his ears.
Ah yes, oh fuck I was wrong, the reapers did come.
I still stand by my theory that the Turian councilor knew all along, and has prepared his forces in secret :colbert:
The Turian Councillor is in fact, the leader of the Reapers. [editline]10th April 2011[/editline] Him and Bolo Santosi.
The Turian Councillor is in fact, the leader of the Reapers. [editline]10th April 2011[/editline] Him and Bolo Santosi.
''Ah yes, Reapuhs''
Whats the point in making Legion a squad member in the end of ME2 and then not have him again in ME3.
No seriously it would be the ultimate way of trolling the fanbase, everyone hates the councilor but then he arrives with a badass Turian fleet and saves your ass
Whats the point in making Legion a squad member in the end of ME2 and then not have him again in ME3.
We just know that he has been mentioned in the demo that Bioware presented to GI, we don't know if he'll return as an NPC or a squadmate.
Whats the point in making Legion a squad member in the end of ME2 and then not have him again in ME3.
It's not confirmed he's not a squad member. He wasn't spotted to be playable in the demo they were presented to, but that doesn't mean he can't be in your squad.

But I have a feeling the Turian Councillor already knows they exist, and was just messing around with Shepard.
Thanks dude, but was that a moderator response, or what.
Just the OP's opinion, but she's right. The reproduction thing is uncovered during the SM, but the underlying 'salvation' theme continues to be brought up.

It does not take much for them to be wiped out. Becoming a Reaper, that is eternal. They are saved through the immortality of the Reapers from the fragility of organic life. Of course this must be through destruction, they cannot maintain their organic form while ascending.
