I find it super-interesting that there's been no word on Miranda Lawson or Jacob at all, I thought they were major playa's
Seeing what they did to Ashley and Anderson makes me a little nervous, I know it's a little change, but I don't want them to DA2 it. If that makes any sense. I'm always paranoid of companies making really bad decisions, I don't want the last game of my favorite modern series to go out with a whimper.
I'm fully aware that I'm jumping the gun, but I'm very, very nervous about ME3.
I got slightly worried when I saw Anderson, but well, I've been thinking....
They pulled off ME2. Which was, if I recall, fucking amazing.
I have trust in Bioware.

Mass Effect 3 isn't being rushed, DA2 was. I doubt it will have the problems DA2 has.

Same with Awakening.
The entire Dragon Age series has been fucked over basically, since EA was extremely surprised that people like games that don't have lasers or even guns.
The ability to pick up guns seems like an odd decision. I like being able to have variety, but the whole customization seems to make it pointless. I like having my gun pulverizing people. Then again, maybe that's just how you add things to your inventory. Like "Hey, that guy has an awesome gun, let's steal it!"

I really enjoyed Awakening. Maybe it was because I'd played through DA so many times and it was nice to play through something new.
The graphics and everything look really sharp.
Words cannot express how excited I am for ME3. I've put 200+ hours into ME2, and plan on putting even more into the third installment.

It's probably similar to ME2, most weapon mods were added by scanning a weapon that already had the mod.

I just noticed that when I was clearing out my 360's memory I accidentally deleted my Mass Effect saves. Looks like I get to play through the games 12 or so times before ME3 is released.
aww man now that it turns out Ashley is sexy I feel slight remorse for killing her
I kid, she was a good character, it's just on 100% of my runs excpet for this one, Kaidan's bit it, I feel bad for the poor bastard and decided he gets to live through this one
I killed Kaidan just to make Ashley feel bad. I don't even know why I hate her, I just do.
I end up saving Kaidan when I play as a dude.
bros before hoes
Just tried playing Adept on my Brother's ME2 account when he was stuck on Haestrom...
It sure as hell shows how used I am to Soldier. Ended up getting my ass handed to me.

I saved Ashley in the first.
Now I wish I hadn't.
I have a feeling our choices aren't going to really matter. Sure you can choose to not save the Rachni queen but no matter what you will still fight Rachni husks. It will just be explained that there were other Rachni that could be indoctrinated. Sure you can convert the Geth heretics but then it will just be explained that someone else had screwed up the process and changed them back. Basically Bioware is half assing it by giving you choices but the same outcome always like they did with DA2.

You know this how exactly?
Now that I've seen the scans it's time to pretend this thread doesn't exist and block out anything ME3 related. See you guys in nine months.
any good mods I should get?
aw fuck
now that kaidan's coming back, what's gonna happen when he realizes i'm with garrus
garrus better kick his pansy ass
I have a feeling Garrus will be busy helping the Turians fend off Reapers on Palaven.
You know this how exactly?
Arrival DLC, DA2. Choices are all illusions since its all the same outcome.

nah Kaidan will just make some breathy voiced comment about how Garrus is your true soulmate and he belongs with you instead of him cause Kaidan's a tool

1. Dragon Age and Mass Effect are made by completely different teams. Casey Hudson takes Mass Effect VERY seriously.
2. There was no illusion of choice in Arrival, it was completely out of Shepard's control. The DLC was purely to bridge ME2 and ME3.

Dragon Age Origins was an "accident" anyway, no one suspected it would be as popular as it was, and thus they probably didn't have it planned as a trilogy.

1. EA will override Casey Hudson's decisions if they don't like them. Also this different teams argument doesn't mean much considering designers, artists, etc can and have been switched to work on different teams. Its never the same team, and there's always management decisions made to change them.
2. Being out of Shepard's control is the illusion of choice. The same can be said to such a outcome where you killed the Rachni queen but yet you still deal with Rachni husks because there just happened to be other Rachni.
Arrival was pretty cool, but it sure was short. Plus there were no real choices to be made at all, just a quick linear story to connect ME2 and ME3.

Casey Hudson is the executive producer, he gets the final say on what goes into the game. EA can make financial desicions but they can't make him change the story. The Mass Effect team in Bioware have been working since the first game, sure some of them were moved around but the majority were signed on since the first. Mass Effect was always meant to be a trilogy, they hired people to work on the trilogy.
There was NO illusion of choice in Arrival, the illusion of choice is when you're presented with a choice but all outcomes are the same. Shepard had NO choices in Arrival. Your Rachni example is pure fucking bullshit, we have no idea what species we're going to see in Mass Effect 3. Hell, the fact that they don't have to worry about the outcome for another game means the endings can be wildly different, so the rest of the game will differ depending on your actions too.
I wasn't around for speculation on ME2 and whatnot (even though I was hyped for it), but were there debbie downers for that too? It's dumb how the game is far from coming out and the gameinformer magazine was very vague, yet people are making stupid negative speculations like "hurr Reapers are gonna be too easy to kill durr" and whatnot.
ME didn't disappoint. ME2 didn't disappoint. ME3 won't disappoint.
Yes.
[editline]10th April 2011[/editline]
Hell, it'd be weird if you didn't.
Really? I didn't.

People always do it. Check out the threads for Deus Ex, Brink, Battlefield 3; they all have a couple of people whining about shit before the games are even out.
-snip, should not post while under high amounts of stress-
People said DA:O wouldn't disappoint.
It disappoint.
ME3 is going to be utter shit. I mean look at it! Anderson looks like he belongs in Halo, Williams looks like Miranda, and we have Thresher Maws taking down tiny reapers! Those things were supposed to be kilometers long and next to unstoppable in the first game!
And now we have talk about CoD style gameplay mechanics.
Round that off with a nice Deus Ex Machina ending, and we've got ourselves another MW2.
Bioware is going the same way as IW. Down the toilet.
so are you trolling or are you for real
It disappoint.
i am disappoint
