... If you don't know how to read. They literally tell you who to take, and as Miranda is an idiot (works for Cerberus), I ignored her advice. Epic win. Hopefully 3 will have far less handholding. Tali in the vents as Legion was on my fireteam, Garrus for both squad setups, Jack for shields, Mordin for crew, Samara and Legion while Garrus was busy, Garrus and Legion for the HR. Simplicity itself.
Well shucks I guess you're just smarter than me. Personally I didn't think the hold the line thing was so obvious, I mean there was nothing to indicate you'd need the physically strong characters (and why you need a tough one for that and not for the escort still eludes me). And I did read the descriptions, which was what made me wrongly pick Samara. Though I shouldn't have listened to Miranda, I'll give you that one.
Yeah, Jack or Samara for barrier is pretty obvious. The strongest human Biotic alive and an Asari Matriarch or A Drell who somehow has Biotics and an ordinary soldier.

I knew she wouldn't be able to do it, but the smug bitch seemed to think otherwise.

(and you shouldn't be on the first playthrough)
Well really, Zaeed who survived a thousand missions with his entire squad dying and him walking away, being able to withstand a point black shot to the face, he dies. Grunt, pureblood Krogan, regenerates faster than anything else, takes shots like a man and barely flinches, he gets taken down. Jacob, Alliance soldier, nothing special, got a bit of biotic training but it mostly just a normal human. SURVIVES!
I always send tali into the vents so I can have legion and the widow with me
Yeah, I send Tali in as well. Plus I almost always play as Infiltrator so I have double Widow's.
I always send tali into the vents so I can have legion and the widow with me
I did that last time, opposite of usual. It's always nice to have an extra huge gun hanging around for when Harbinger just doesn't want to die.
I did that last time, opposite of usual. It's always nice to have an extra huge gun hanging around for when Harbinger just doesn't want to die.
Yeah. I play a little game where I see if I can kill him before he finishes saying "ASSUMING CONTROL." My widow, Legion's widow, and Mordin's heavy incinerate tends to do the trick.
Who is Kiril anyway? Reveal yourself sucka'.
The fact that he doesn't post means that he is probably an alt of a perma-banned user.
I lost my Vent guy (Legion) because Miranda made the point of saying the squad leader had to be able to "Lead by experience". What did Samaras description say? "Centuries of experience" I thought there was a connection. Not thinking that her experience had nothing to do with leadership
Same issue with Zaeed.
Except if you listen to Zaeed even once, you'd know that every group he leads dies. [editline]14th April 2011[/editline] And if you listen to Samara even once, you'd know that she's always worked alone.
But for fucks sake, every group he leads he survives and everyone else dies. When he goes in as the distraction team leader he gets shot in the belly and keels over. That isn't Zaeed, that's just restricting who you can choose.
For the my first squad I chose Grunt and Zaeed, Legion in the vent and Garrus leading the other team. I sent Tali back with the crew, Miranda leading the distraction team, Jack on the biotic shield with Legion and Zaeed. For the Human Reaper I brought Legion and Garrus just because in my head I had this idea of like Shepard giving a huge speech about enemies becoming friends and Garrus for old times sake. Oh and everybody lived.
For my run which I plan to export, I used Tali in the vents, Jacob leading the second team (I wanted him to do SOMETHING) with Thane and Legion (or maybe one of them was Garrus...) following me. Mordin sent back with the crew, Jack making the biotic field, Garrus leading the fire team, with Tali and Legion following me. Lastly, I brought Tali and Garrus with me to the final battle and everyone lived. [editline]14th April 2011[/editline] Just this once, everybody lives!
Legion - Vents Garrus - Leader of the second team Jacob - Lead back the crew to the Normandy Garrus - Leader of the distraction team Samara - Maintainer of the biotic field Who I usually pick at the last part is Kasumi and Tali. End of story :colbert:
End Run 101 Vents: Tali/Kasumi/Legion Group leaders: Garrus/Jacob/Miranda Crew Escort: Preferably Mordin Biotic field: Samara/SuZe Last Fight: Loyals
When I did Leigon in the vents he died. He was loyal.
When I did Leigon in the vents he died. He was loyal.
Who did you choose for your group leader?
Who did you choose for your group leader?
Garrus. I always choose him.
Garrus. I always choose him.
Does not compute. Loyal legion in vents plus loyal Garrus team leader = Vent specialist survives
Might have been a bug. I always send Tali now instead, in case it happens again.
But for fucks sake, every group he leads he survives and everyone else dies. When he goes in as the distraction team leader he gets shot in the belly and keels over. That isn't Zaeed, that's just restricting who you can choose.
this is the man who survived a gunshot to the face. i thought "a stubborn enough man can survive anything." obviously not a shot in the gut. in some cases thats a good defence. That just reminded me. My first playthrough I had Garrus as the second leader, when he got shot I was like 'oh fuck no might as well restart now' :smithicide: Then he just shrugged it off like a man.
The fact that he doesn't post means that he is probably an alt of a perma-banned user.
Mercurius?
Except when he's not loyal?
Anyway, the 'good docs from Bioware' talk about ME3,DA2 and SWTOR. You'll waste your time reading this, but I'll leave this here for anyone interested anyway.
I like my fem.Shep in her orange armor. Also, something's wrong with Jack...
