I noticed it on that supply depot world. Got the last one in the head with a killing shot and he lit up and started to wind up. Got clear just in time to see a explosion about the size of the Cain. impressive stuff

They explode like that when you shoot their heads off, and I've seen them do it a few times after being killed with an overload blast.
