The Dragon Age team was shuffled between games, they ended up with aa shit writer and half the team was moved to other projects. Mass Effect has had a mostly stable team for the whole series.

Same. That Faunts song at the end is the only song I really remember from ME1. That and maybe the generic combat music, but that wasn't anything special.
The music in ME2 got my blood pumping way more. Tali's recruitment mission has awesome music. The suicide run song is awesome. All the DLC's have great music.

The only distinct tunes I can remember from ME2 is The End Run and the various Collector Themes, the rest seemed to just meld together (the DLC music, however, is a completely different story.)
ME1 had the Main Theme, M4 Pt. II, Sovereign's Theme, Victory (and Alliance Victory) and the various planet themes (Noveria felt so 1980s Sci-fi techno because of it's music.)
Personally I found the death of Sovereign to be far more memorable then the destruction of the Collector Base.
