No, thats just what everyone does when they try to convert me to the x-boxian faith. i dont think the're dumb at all. Its a good console and all, but just... you know.
But can we just forget it.
Well, it's just my personal opinion, I have only played the demo, though.
But yeah, still, it includes most of the DLC.
:eng101: Most

Subjective, the textures are higher quality but PS3 doesn't support coloured lighting, which Mass Effect uses extensively.
Well not really since ME2 on the PS3 uses the updated engine for ME3. Of course it'll look worse when ME3 for the pc comes out.

What does that have to do with texture detail and lighting systems? The PS3, as in the hardware, doesn't support coloured lighting. The models are the same AFAIK, and the textures are slightly upgraded. No one even mentioned ME3 on the PC.
*facepalm*
PC's are the best quality, can we agree on that?

:eng101: Actually ME2PS3 uses only some of the upgrades ME3 engine has.
Hey, so about those reapers... yeah?

Not as good as THE YOOLAR BOYZ, but certainly better than DA ROWCHEZ EHEHEHE.
I want David atombruer/brugh(whatever?) to do a documentary on them.
"and here, we see the reaper in it's natural habitat on the hunt for prey, it seems our reaper has spotted a small human colony on the Borders of the terminus system, the reaper makes no hesatation and strikes, abducting the entire colony. Now, the reaper, like all creatures, must pass on it's genes, and it is a very complicated process..." etc. Etc
David Attenborough

Huh. I thought they said it was just the ME3 engine. Guess they haven't finished upgrading things yet.
-_-

It's probably more "We wont be using this feature, don't bother adding it" than "We can't use this feature". It not like they'd change the game drastically for features that are new in ME3.
Huh. I thought they said it was just the ME3 engine. Guess they haven't finished upgrading things yet.
It's just ME2 assets on the ME3 engine.
So lighting and whatnot might be a tad different, but the models and quality of graphics don't magically look better when changing engines. Put Halo 1 assets in the Halo Reach engine and they'll still look old and shitty. They had probably already been working on getting the ME3 engine to work on PS3's, so it was a wiser decision to simply put ME2 assets in it and port it that way instead of going back and trying to get the ME2 engine to work on the PS3.

wait wat
Do they explain that in a DLC or something? If so, tell me which one.

Well, At the end of Arrival you talk to Harbinger where he explains that what the Protheans told us were lies and that the Reapers are actually our salvation
Pretty surprising Plot twist in preparation for ME3
Just a clarification: The PS3 hardware CAN support coloured lighting. It's just that the nature of the graphics cards in them is to last a long time (why you don't need to change the card on a console, but you do for a PC) and coloured lighting wears the card down faster than it should. Some games take advantage of that feature, but it's rare.
The PS3 version also does not use updated textures, but it does use updated models (higher poly's). The version of the engine it uses is the same as the one ME3 will use, but the models/textures/etc are much lower res than the ones that will be used in ME3.

Salvation as in they will kill us, or save us?

Turns out that the Galactic core is going critical in a massive supernova, The reapers are our salvation by giving us a ride out of the doomed galaxy. The Protheans mistook them for what they looked like , A massive invasion fleet, instead of an rescue fleet and declared war. The reapers had to defend themselves

Interesting, this also seems to tell that the Protheans could challenge the Reapers, if the Reapers were as powerful as people had said they were then Harbinger would not say that they needed to 'defended themselves'. Atleast thats my take.
Just came across this and instantely thought of the communication technology they use in the com. room in ME2 :v:

Yeah. But since it has been brought up, You starts to wonder what else the Protheans might have exaggerated. Hell, Might even turn out that the Reapers were created by the Protheans in some way

We already knew about Entangled particles, that's how they explained the comms room. If they're working better to make them then all the better.
