I just want to say this Conrad Verner thing, I swear I did NOT stick the gun in his face the first game, despite importing the ME1 save, he still was all bragging how I did that though, but maybe that was the only way they scripted it. I thought I chose the paragon route and asked him what his wife would think of him being a specter, and he walks away depressed. The other issue I had in ME2 was when I ran into 10th St Reds gangster again, though I thought I shot him in ME1, but maybe he was only presumed dead. Other then that, the rest of the story in ME2 that I loaded from ME1 seemed to be cannon. I think Conrad was just trying to act out, since he spent all that money getting a fake N7 outfit made for him.

If it was made to last, why didn't they put a current-model GPU on it when making it? The one they have was already one or two generations old by the time the console was released.
they're supposed to use the Cell which is the biggest processing advantage the PS3 has, but that would require a major engine rewrite to fully utilize it

Nope. It's initial dev and deploy platform was PC and the 2006 principle concept demo was PC. It was picked up as Xbox 2005 exclusive because of the strength of the vision and the fact it was planned from the beginning to be a trilogy, thus another feather in the microsoft lineup. This is well before Demiurge would have had anything to do with game, and I'm not talking about the PC port, I'm talking about the initial [I]design platform.[/I]

Everything felt small scale in Mass Effect 2, most notably (for some reason) in the way you'd travel around the galaxy map (don't even get me started on the stupid fuel system.)
