It will be saved, but that doesn't mean it will be transferred. In the past they've given you bonus levels, but you've still had to start over with skills, and it will be that way this time too. You'll likely get a three to five level starting bonus, as before.
They've said that your skills and abilities will be taken over in some form and you'll be upgrading them to be even better than before in new ways.
Did I just read "Mechas?"
Good God I hope they mean mechs.
Just a bad translation.
Anyway, someone messed with the source code of the GI hub and we know that we'll receive some screenshots tonight.
Do you not understand what a SWAT turn is? It's specifically used in Gears since the first game, it's used in Arkham asylum, and it's used in FPP in Riddick Dark Athena. It's a method of transitioning through and covering an opening or doorway that doesn't leave you exposed to fire. The little ducking roll from one side of a doorway to the next is just that and Gears call it that in the tutorial level.
Eh, I imagined that it's something like that, but I have never heard of it being called 'SWAT turn'.
Thanks by the way.

Im very unhappy that you didnt get to choose the events of Mass effect 1 if you started Mass Effect 2 without importing. I know you can do it on the PS3 by downloading something from the PlayStation store called Mass effect : Genesis.
If i could have changed anything i would have saved the council, mainly because nearly every alien is a dick to you if you dont. :smith:

First screenshot, guy in the middle:
First thought: What the fuck did you do to Legion?! :argh:
Second thought: Oh, never mind...

Also, this:
Both of the screens highlight Commander Shepard fighting Cerberus forces on the Salarian homeworld
According to the spanish magazine, they are fighting in Shur'Kesh.

I thought we already knew that from the first GI article?
Automerge fail
I thought we already knew that from the first GI article?
Didn't read it, avoiding as many spoilers as I can.
... pictures excluded.
Yeah, so should we start using spoiler tags?
Probably, since they did manage to reveal quite a bit before Mass Effect 2 was released.
Looks like they've gone Deadspace with the Health display, being on Shepherds back.

Better than having Strawberry jam covering Shepard's eyes every time he's shot.
Not even Shepard's eyes, the eyes of the player since the game is played in 3rd person. It was just fucking stupid.

I think it's probably just a visual effect. A Bioware dev said that they experimented with a DS-ey HUD for ME2, but it didn't work out,
I heard they went through more then 5-10 HUD ideas for ME2 alone.
Some random poster on GI stole my avatar. :v:

Critical mission failure was just an explosion in a jam factory.

I thought that was you :v:
Just a random idea:
I would absolutly love to have Developer commentary like in Valve games in ME3. I love to listen to how they created the game and so on
Come on Bioware, maybe have the option to walk though the Normandy with Dev commentary separate from the rest of the game or something
It's been confirmed; Mordin isn't going to be a party member in ME3.

I'm betting he'll be on the ship as a character like Chakwas or Kelly Chambers. If that's the case, I'm not too bummed.
If he's leading the Salarian cure faction, there's rather little reason for him to join Shepard off world as he has his own shit to deal with.

It sounds like you're going to have to choose to side with one of two teammates for some of these worlds, such as [sp]Legion or Tali for the Quarian Homeworld.[/sp]
Likely. But It may not be that black and white as there are [sp]Quarian sympathizers[/sp] already. So choosing a or b doesn't mean you lose a race, it just means you lose a faction of it. If you side with Mordin you get Salarian civilians and some military, but you lose the STG, which makes X missions way harder for that location, but you get the "moral victory X" sequence in your ending.
Does anyone here think if [sp]Tali was exiled or not[/sp] will have a major effect in Mass Effect 3?
(I doubt i needed spoiler tags for that)

If this turns into recruiting species to fight the Reapers then it could potentially affect Shepard's stance in the eyes of the Quarians.
Define major. It may affect how they view you and support you, but it's not going to mean you can't win blah blah, and Casey's already stated that in the GI interview.
[sp]Plus there will be post game DLC and you can do N7 mission after the game is over so actually, the ending is a foregone conclusion. Getting a lose ending will be done on purpose by the player if it's possible, just like 2. You can metagame to lose on purpose, but if you're trying at all you "win".[/sp]

Excuse me for my stupidity is a N7 mission the Squads Loyalty missions?
An N7 mission is like a side quest.
Would that mean when you discover a anomaly while scanning, thats a N7 mission or when you talk to people on planets.
Yep. N7s are distress calls, mediations, colony attack by mercs, yadda yadda.
