This is a good game... but sweet jesus, the more powerful weapons are damned near impossible to actually get.
I wish our skills didn't reset every round.
Dash lvl11 is too good.
I think skills resetting every round is fine. You get to keep your skill tree for about 10 minutes then it resets, that is fine. I wouldn't change the game an awful lot because it is pretty solid the way it is now. Some balancing could definitely be done though (the differences between different guns are way too high imo, maybe reduce the deviation somehow? The high deviation is what sets this game apart from others and I am not asking you to make it like CSS because that is shitty. Just balance it somehow so a pistol has some chance in hell of doing SOMETHING.) and maybe a few fun additions would spice it up. Just don't fix what isn't broken!
Its excellent, one of the few games of enjoyed lately. I love it. Thanks for making it.

Yup, as Muntu said experimentation and skill builds are what the current game modes are all about.. and in version 0.7 WAR mode will come out where your stats will be permanent more like an MMO.
I absolutely love the blood effects in this, anyhow. Very cool.

Bumping this because no one has really been playing the last few days. This game deserves more attention.
Cheers DoktorBlupin :) I've been busy coding over the last few weeks so haven't been spreading the word that much, thus the lack of players. I've found it's pretty difficult to get a brand-new multiplayer-only game off its feet without a massive advertising budget. You basically need to have an active server up 24/7 in order for new players to actually have any fun. Otherwise they just join an empty server, walk around for a bit and leave. Add lag and ping into the equation and you really need at least 1 active server up in every continent.. which in the early stages of the game is tough to do! Eitherway I've listened to all the feedback and criticism of the current version and I'm really happy with the changes and additions that've been made. Basically it's a lot more noob friendly and has a greater emphasis on teamwork and tactics. Spawn killing is no longer an issue, many bugs and balance issues have been fixed and the graphics have been greatly improved. I'm about to make some new maps and maybe even add in a new skill! I hope to release this new version in a few days and then I'll go crazy spreading the word again so we'll have lots more players online. Yay!

It's got a LOT of finely tuned gameplay improvements as well as heaps of new features. Many of the issues that were brought up in this thread have been fixed too. Much more noob friendly and with a greater emphasis on team dynamics. New skills too! Anyway if you liked Subvein before you'll love it now! (or at least think it's pretty cool :p)
I came here expecting a half-assed piece of shit. I was pleasantly wrong, will check it out.

Whenever you spawn you get 30 seconds of invulnerability. You know you're invulnerable if you see a gray flashing octagon surrounding your character. This gives you 30 seconds to buy your guns and get ready which is more than enough. This invulnerability will disable as soon as you fire your weapon or step out of the spawn zone though.. which I think I need to make more clear to new users somehow. Eitherway once you know this spawn camping isn't a threat at all. You can just stand their and wait until the perfect shot and if they choose to stick around your spawn you can initiate the combat when you're ready, giving you the element of suprise and the first shot. Anyway glad you played the game :)

I can't urge enough how much everyone NEEDS to play this game. It's the first game since Gmod that has made me stay up until 5 in the morning, and I dig every minute of it. PS fuzone, im sorry i stabbed you so many times. it's just tempting when im cloaked and i see you trying to aim your little pistol at someone.
Yay Downloaded it and played it earlier. There was a nice guy, admin I think 'ST-dontknowhat' who explained some stuff so I got in faster than usual. I like it. One needs to get used to the movement behavior, it's a bit... imprecise and delayed. I often fly over crates rather than staying on them.

Yeah, I always want to play but there's nobody online. And more European servers, don't like no ping with 300 making me warp around :(

It's a shame that there's only one server ever up for this, and it's Australian, meaning everyone who ISN'T Australian gets 400 ping. Fortunately this game seems to have the best netcode ever since I was playing with 400 ping and it was no different to having 50.
