You either:
Have a 32bit OS
or
Don't have enough RAM.
For most mods, you need a 64bit OS with as much RAM as possible.

LURK has a ton of content and gameplay changes, and it looks a lot better in general, as well as being polished. i cant really say which is better though since i havent played OL, but from what i've heard LURK is better.
LURK because it's all atmospheric and and stuff.
You could just play through with one and then the other. They aren't similar.
Do as Zip says, play with one then next time, use the other :)

I heard OL was all right except for the fact Bizon is OP just because the creator likes it. Is this true?
Back when I played SHOC a year or so back, Oblivion Lost was the best mod out there.
It's a fun mod, but it's a very easy mod compared to other mods out there (RE: People Soup). It's still good, though.
No idea how LURK is. I haven't tried it yet.
