If you... actually want to go through with downloading the 5 gigs, you have to download the 14 main parts, extract the first one, apply the patch and then fixingsoup. Make sure to actually use the bin folder that's included with it. It would also help a lot if you had 4+ (8 would be good) gigs of RAM and a 64bit OS, unless you want very long loading times.
Then you prepare your anus for The Soup.

I have a 32bit OS, 2GB of RAM and a 4850HD and the thing runs just about fine, except crashing after an hour or so for no apparent reason. :c00lbert:
Do you enjoy your 6 minute loading times? It uses ~3.6-3.8 out of my 4 gigs, takes 2-4 minutes to load an area for the first time and 40 seconds or so for a quicksave. It's not graphics intensive, it looks like vanilla... except a lot darker. It just eats your RAM.
It's wonderful playing LURK after that. Loading the Army Warehouses in 20 seconds is magical.

No, not really. Only 3 minutes, 1 and a half while loading quicksaves. And yea, it eats RAM like a hog eats corn. But I'm used to it, back when I had 1GB of RAM it took me five minutes to load a level from CoP vanilla.

I feel you man, Redux is scary as fuck without savescumming but that's exactly what makes it so great. No radar+ no npc counter + minimal creature idle sounds result in scary situations. I can't even count how many times I've been ambushed by zombies in the swamp because they can disappear into the bushes and silently creep behind you :ohdear: .

Hey, I want to make a unique weapon which not only has different stats, but also uses a different texture. How would I go about this? I'm guessing I would have to copy & paste the model, edit it so it points to the alternate texture, and have the unique weapon use this new model. What tool can I use to edit .ogf files?
Anyone else have this annoying skybox junk with LURK? Like where every time you move your view around the sky is sinking around in ugly blotches, and when I was in the garbage the sky was just endlessly flickering and that was painful to my eyes. Is it just because all of the visual effects that are shit all over LURK or is it a single setting?

Broken motionblur causes skybox issues. Is that the problem?
Probably, is there a way to get rid of it?

Find the line:

And change it to:

Perhaps SkyGRAPHICS_options.cfg is the relevant file? My LURK gamedata has it and it contains this line:

But it's already commented out.

Commenting out Improved_MBlur won't do anything. Also LURK uses an old version of STALKER Shaders MAX so it is best to update anyway.
