What's this I hear about STALKER Co-op for SoC?
So i decided to make a "stalker diary" and i write all my events to it.
5/01/2011 5/01/2011 12:00 *Start of audio recording, helicopter buzzing and distant mutants howling* 12:15 *End of recording* 12:21 I was fighting against 3 soldiers to get back to the garbage, when i was on the last guy, he was behind a car, so i had no chance to shoot him, suddenly a wild dog appeared from the hills and attacked the soldier, even though it was a monster and a mutant, it still helped me and i am grateful for it. The only good thing i looted from the soldiers was a 1 military first aid kit. 12:40 I was about to go to the duty checkpoint at the garbage but the left side was full of bandits so i had to use the right side of the hangar walls, making me make a longer trip. 13:20 At the bar, selling and buying equipment and chatting with other stalkers, having no plans at the moment. 03/05/2011 (DD/MM/YY) 8:05 Decided to sit down with my loner friends and listen to this one loners groovy guitar song with his nice singing voice, but we got interrupted as two pseudodogs attacked us. No-one was injured thankfully. At the loner camp i decided to give some equipment for the rookie and the experienced one.. 10:00 Observed activity of blind dogs, they were resting. 10:51 Defended the base shared with bandits and loners from mutants. 11:37 Took control of the military base at agroprom with help of my loner and bandit friends. 12:30 Discovered Semyan Comatose, experienced dead, possibly killed by two pseudodogs 12:42 Found 5 energy drinks and 2 vodka bottles in a pipe, however the pipe was radioactive and i had to use anti-rad after that. 12:56 Found an experienced dead loner in the basement of the loner base in agroprom, named German Prick, he seems to have been dead for a long time. 13:22 I found a jellyfish artifact by the radioactive pond. 14:00 Found a dead soldier by an Electro anomaly Assisted 3 loners against 5 soldiers. Decided to team up with the other loners to wander the zone. 14:45 Split up with the 3 stalkers. 15:00 Found two rookie bodies. Named Max Bourgeois and Kostya Operator, i gave them a place for them to eternally rest. When i entered to garbage i saw a massive wave of mutants killing 2 innoncent stalkers from the direction where i came from. Took a break at the train depot with bandits and loners. The Rain Started To Fall And The Thunder. Stashed useless stuff into a box A lone pseudodog attacked a loner camp, however no-one got injured. 16:00 The loners at the camp decided to head for agroprom, i wish them luck and a good fortune. I decided to go with the stalkers to agroprom, for fun and company. The rain and thunder enchances the atmosphere extremely Ate a tourists delight for dinner. Extremely good. 17:00 Ominous silence and the wind blowing to my face, Just observing the territory from the depot, the skies are beginning to clear, the thunder and lightning has stopped... the rain is fading away... soon comes the night, i wouldn't recommend for rookies to be outside now... Two boars detected roaming around the hangar, will check it out tomorrow. (new task, check for boars in the vicinity tomorrow) 18:00 Two rookie loners in a group from the area of the duty checkpoint heading for the hangar. I'll group up with them and help them. Zhenya Deputy and Max Graph are the loners i am coping with. Zhenya Deputy has died because of blind dogs, i will KILL THOSE BASTARD ASSHOLES. 19:00 Fought against a group of military bastards with Max Graph, we survived. The sun has set. 20:00 We have entered agroprom with Max Graph. At some 20:38 we heard an ecologist scream something at some enemy, then we heard a grenade explosion, then followed silence... dead silence. 21:00 At the loner and bandit base we decided to take part in fight with military with Max Graph Took a rest at a loner camp some north-east of the loner/bandit base with Max Graph 22:16 BLOWOUT HAS STRUCK! We at the loner camp ran for the aprogrom base for cover hoping that we'd make it, we did, and at the shelter we chatted about random stuff 22:46 Blowout has ended 23:00 Found a gravi artifact Went to sleep soon after the found artifact. *Start PDA voice recording* 04/05/2011 *Voice recording contains sounds of loners chatting and various monster sounds from far far away. And some guitar playing* Woke up at 4:30. Chatted with other loners. Went for a traditional morning artifact hunt. 5:00 Shot two fleshes by the pond. Spotted an izlom pair. Spotted a dog pack Killed two izloms and a 1 flesh I was walking on the hills and suddenly right of me, something got torn apart in vortex anomaly, it was a cloud of blood and ribs and organs. 6:00 Returned to camp from the hunt, no success. Travelled to the hangar in the garbage, for stashing my trophies, (gravi and mutant parts) 7:00 Stepan Genghis helped me to fight off a herd of dogs who were trying to kill me, i owe him my gratitude, i will cope with him. Found lots of supplies in a stash at the attic of a building 8:00 With stepan we got into a fight with 1 military man and had to kill 3 boars, it was close, i almost lost a friend 9:00 Stepan took a different route to dark valley and we split up, hopefully we'll meet later Got into a huge fight with mutants, thankfully i had 20 loners at the camp with me. There were about 6 boars and 20 rodents and 1 cat and 1 psydog. 10:00 Found a huge stash, it eh contained a 1 droplet and some canned food and lots of anti-rad, it was dangerous as hell to get that stash, a vortex was about to pull me in and an electro tried to fry my brain. 12:00 Helped bandits to fight off military scum. Ran away from two dogs by the gas station Found a military medkit from a dead dutier, his last name seems to be "Stranger", forgot the first name... Found 8 anti-rads from a stash nearby the duty checkpoint 13:00 Was on my way to check out how are things goin for bandits at their camp, well, when i got there, i saw no-one, i heard an angry pseudodog growl at me, i loaded my SPAS-12 and shot the pseudodog before it jumped, later two more attacked me, i was not hurt. After that, i went for the direction of this one forest, i saw two zombies there, i fired them to death with my shotgun, the dogs around them were running around me in circles, i shot the zombies and piss bolted out of there. 15 Minutes later, i was headin' for the vehicle scrapyard, there were about 4 pseudodogs there, and 1 bandit miserably trying to fight 'em off, i helped him, i shot one pseudodog when it just jumped, its dead body flied at me, knocking me down, i immediatel stood up and continued the fight. 10 minutes later, i found a stash, which contained 2 army first aid kits, five bandages, five tourists delights and two grenades, you could say, i was one damn happy drunk stalker. 14:00 Found a dead stalker, Vitka Romantic, with a zombie feasting on him, it was a gruesome sight, so i decided to kill that bastard zombie who took his life, i also found some medical supplies on the ground next to that poor damn stalker. 10 Minutes later, i found a dead bandit by the name of Vlad Flint, killed by three fleshes, i decided to avenge for him and kill those damn 3 fatsos.
All the events happened in the game. Also the reason i skipped day two is because i had to complete the entire storyline, and 90% of the time in the storyline was spent in Chernobyl two trying to kill kosheik or whatever that controller leaders name was

Does anyone know why my HUD is gone in SGM-B?
At what point does dying and reloading saves stop being a legitimate STALKER technique and start being in the realm of save scumming
This isn't Dwarf Fortress. :v: [editline]3rd April 2011[/editline]
AMK first, then people soup, as the soup is built upon AMK.
It is?
I've got a good slav voice too, cept I have the feeling my voice would become obnoxious very quickly.
Only if you really force the accent into a stereotype one. Remember how barely anyone except a couple of Dutyers, Bandits, Mercs and Barkeep have a higher pitched, faster pronouncing accent? That's more or less the accent that everyone has to aim for, not the usual stretched and deep one.

A ZM something rifle, look awesome and so are the upgrades... speaking of upgrades does anyone know where I can find the Calibration Tools at for Carver?
no, I type like this mostly, I speak english. I'm playing The call of pripyat, so do you know where the calibration tools are at for carver?
I think you mean Cardan, the repairman in the Skadovsk. The calibration tools are in Pripyat [editline]3rd April 2011[/editline] Kit one: The first set is located inside the Pripyat Department Store, located in the basement behind the stairs. The player does not need to go down into the extremely dangerous anomaly field - but they do need to deal with a great number of tushkana inside the department store itself, as well as the labyrinth of doors required to find the basement entrance. The kit itself is located on the level above the anomaly/artifact area, on a table near a yellow light, to the front-right of the stairs as you enter from ground-level. Kit two: The second set is located inside the other Old Service Center, which is marked on the player's Pripyat map. It's specifically located in the top floor, and is fairly more difficult to acquire - it requires navigating a pair of electroshock anomaly fields, fighting with a Burer in a compact space, and likely dealing with several Exoskeleton zombies. Once the player reaches the top floor and grabs the calibration kit, they can unlock a door which leads into a stairwell, taking them right down to the bottom floor and out into safety.
Your grammar and sentence structure sucks for speaking English.
Who the fuck is Carver... oh...

Story time! So as you all know by now, I am still trying to get the documents from Agroprom. My current situation is as thus, I'm at one of the main gates into the complex where the documents are at. I have currently killed four soldiers, and I am hiding behind the wall. Behind me is a helicopter that enjoys shooting at me, and another helicopter is wandering not far off. Behind this wall there are four soldiers who are all too eager to shoot me, and a sniper on a nearby tower. After about a dozen tries of getting anywhere past this point, I decided I need some launcher grenades so I can take out the fucking choppers, and then the soldiers. I know Sidorovich doesn't sell launcher grenades, but the Bar tends to sell better shit. So I decided to head into the Garbage and up to the Duty gate. Unfortunately, they won't let you through without the documents. You can't even pay them off. At this point I was disgruntled, and in a bout of fury I shot the fucker guarding the door in the face with my shotgun. I was, of course, instantly killed. But while I was hovering over my corpse, I noticed that, upon killing the guard, the door to the Bar open. And here an idea hatched. After many failed attempts of picking him off safely - sniping from the ruined buildings about a 100 meters away with only ironsights on a damaged AK74 is incredibly difficult - and failing to find any explosives, I suddenly had an idea. I recalled the unique trader in Cordon, right before entering the garbage, selling artifact activation shells. I promptly ran back and bought an activation shell, and then returned to Duty. When again they would not allow me through, I saved the game, and then activated the artifact shell I had purchased. Within moments, the sphere was rolling around, finally resting at the guard's feet, shooting off streams of particles. And then it began to float up, and air began to compress around it, until finally it evolved into a Whirligig. Instantly, the stalker that the anomaly formed inside of was crunched into a sphere of gore, and the gate opened. Alas, killing him via the anomaly apparently counts as my attack, so I was killed. Determined to get through, I reloaded, activated the artifact, and then ran all the way back to Seriy's warehouse. After a few moments, I ran back to it to find the door open. And a bunch of Duty guys shooting at me. Through nothing less than a miracle (and four scientific medkits), I was able to break past the Duty guys, through the gate, and go to the Bar. The road into the Bar itself was perilous, with me dying at least four times to the slew of anomalies that exist here. But, finally, being chased by boars, blind dogs, and a psuedodog, the barricade came into sight. As I prayed silently to myself, "Please don't shoot me, please don't shoot me, please don't shoot me..." a shot rang out and I yelped. Surely I was dead. Instead, a dog beside me falls in a shower of gore. I continue sprinting, and the Zone itself stutters with incomprehensible mind-numbing slowness - it takes nearly a minute for me to cross the 10 meters before me, with the world only updating once every five or seconds. Finally, I was through, and no bullets were flying my way. I was able to kill the Duty guard, break through into the Bar, and Duty is still friendly with me. I was able to circumvent the hellhole that is Agroprom and get through the Bar - and it only cost me 9200 Rubles. Like Charlie Sheen, I was officially Winning. Amazed that I was still alive, and that my wild plan had finally worked, I began to explore the Bar, looking for the 100 Rads. It's been a while since I was last here, and I got lost twice. Finally, however, I found the all-too-familiar GAP sign that lead to the Bar, when suddenly, I hear gunfire and angry Ukrainian shouting. Paranoid and gasping, I instantly begin to look around, terrified that they suddenly realized the cold murderous deed I had committed and have decided now to pay retribution, when I was so close to my goal of getting some launcher grenades. What I saw was far worse than anything Duty could have ever done to me. Before my very eyes, only meters ahead of me, I watched in horror as a bipedal abomination with sickeningly sharp claws, crimson tentacles around its mouth, and eyes glowing white as neutron stars emerged from the shadows, tearing down the stalker ahead of me. Another refraction of light gives way ahead of me, and then a third... Moments later, someone screams over the intercom, "Bloodsuckers have been spotted attacking the Bar!" Surely this was the end for me. Amazingly, through much gunfire, adrenaline, and with a final body-count of three bloodsuckers and seven Stalkers, the bloodsuckers were finally dead. Feeling that I more than earned my right to be here now, with a swell of confidence I enter the bar and talk to the Barkeep. He asks if I have the documents, to which I reply "No, I do not" while smuggishly thinking to myself "Yeah, you'd expect me to since I have to have them to get in here." He tells me off, and then we commence business. My eyes begin to well up with tears of wonder and awe. Sniper rifles, shotguns, assault rifles - even a guitar. So many weapons that I've never seen such a beautiful sight. Armor, medical supplies, food and drink... and grenades. So many grenades. I'm about to burst into tears - finally, my long trek is almost over. I open my inventory and dismount my grenade launcher so I can see what it needs. It uses VOG-25 launcher grenades, which I know by appearance to be whitish launcher grenades. With only 3000 rubles left to my name, I intend to find some VOG-25s and either buy them all, or spend all my money on them. I spend long moments looking through the Barkeep's inventory. After a cursory look, I become distraught. Desperate, I search his inventory again, a third time, a fourth; and every second, my heart is falling deeper and deeper into abysmal despair. The Barkeep has no launcher grenades for me. The entire journey... in vain. Everything was for naught.
What patch is people soup dmx + dmz? Doesn't say anywhere in the documentation and I assume its .0005 But the old people soup was for .0004
Why not just take the sewers route and pray that the bullets will miss you? :v: [editline]3rd April 2011[/editline]
What patch is people soup dmx + dmz? Doesn't say anywhere in the documentation and I assume its .0005 But the old people soup was for .0004
It works fine for both. I'm getting a lot of non-bugtrap crashes, tho. Hopefully that'll get fixed in the next update.

If so, what sewers route? :v: Also, in other news, I am looking around to try and relearn how to mod STALKER. The goal is to be able to make it so you can hire Stalkers to follow you around for 10 or so real-time minutes. I want to be able to make them travel between locations with you, too - the idea is that I want to hire every STALKER I can and have a giant-ass raid on Agroprom. :v:
Are you talking to me? If so, what sewers route? :v:
Did you got into the Military Complex using the roads or did you entered inside it via Agroprom Underground? What I did in the regular People Soup was that I took the same route, then just rushed into the main building, avoiding bullets. The two guys guarding the top floor shouldn't be a problem. As you get the documents, get to one of the windows at the stairways(preferrably the lowest one), then jump out onto the ground. Slide past the garages towards the South-West corner of the base and you'll be able to exit the base through a hole in the wall. Slide past the wall, avoid the soldiers at the entrance and avoid the helicopter barrage until half-way to the exit for Garbage and that's that, just beat your way through the final outpost and the regular bandit and mutant cannon fodder in Garbage and Rostok and that's that.

If he still kills you, approach from the outside, then kill him (and everyone you can) and retreat to the underground. Exit through the tunnel and ta-da! You got a free ticket in Agroprom! Bonus points if you make the guys inside the base chase you towards the entrance to the sewers at the factory.
