You should try downgrading to 1.0004. You'll need to disable steam auto updating for SoC and download hispano patcher. Found on FTP.

Will I have to reinstall SoC and or OL? Or can I just downgrade it as it is currently. Now it says I have to insert the CD...

What is peoples go to mod for Clear Sky? I only ever did one playthrough and feel like another Is there anything like SGM for it I can only seem to find graphical mods or slight tweaks

Well... I just got this game ( Call of Pripyat ) this morning, and so far, am very interested in the story, and I was wondering, would I be able to do all of the quests related to the main storyline, then complete the side quests, or does it end Fallout style and you have to reload a save or something?

Hello fellow Stalkers. I feel like going back into Shoc with a mod, after doing vanilla five times. What do you recommend? I would prefer one that offers a totally new experience rather than graphical upgrade.

LURK if you want less of a challenge than AMK with graphical changes.
