Well Stalkers, I'm packing my bags and preparing for my trip to Poland. I'll be sure to raise a glass of Polish beer and roll a joint for you guys.
durgs for massive creativity
make sure to write while you're there, babycakes!
Is it in the first level? Does it have electricity in it?
Yes and yes.
I just realized, those gas cans and gas canisters you can pick, they might be useful for traps. Like luring somebody near it and then blowing it up. Or if there's a group of enemies below you, you could drop it on their head.
Or like I did in any mod where I could do that:
Go to the army warehouses, freedom base, pick up one of the explosive barrels, set it by the armory guard. Back up a bit, shoot it, receive loot without having to drag over a chair.
Because you didn't kill him, the barrel did! :v:
Does anyone have this month's Stalker desktop background?
I've got the Lost Alpha one:

The background. It's jpg raped, but in a way, it isn't.

sure, hon :*
Yes and yes.
Well you have three options regarding the railway embankment.
1. You can go through that tunnel. You need to time your movement carefully and watch where you go. Using the bolt is a must.
2. You can bribe the military into letting you pass through their outpost. It costs only 500 rubles.
3. You can go further East and soon you'll find a hole in the barbed wire fence.
Remember to stock up on weapons and equipment, it'll be nasty up in Agroprom, but you'll get some stuff there, too. You'll also need an extra medkit for Fox.
HOYL SHTI THERE'S A WOMAN IN DEAD CITY ASDFGH
So, how is Secret Trails 2 so far?
So, how is Secret Trails 2 so far?
Fun. Dead City is a little empty, but the encounters are very randomized, the level transitions are making it a lot more unexpected, and of course, there are plenty of locations to explore per level.
Hide that, now, Croguy.
God Forbid Paravin sees this.
OH GOD HE'S READING THE THREAD RIGHT NOW! ALL HOPE IS LOST! :gonk:

How about the loadtimes? :clint:
I know this is completely unrelated but you guys are my broskis so I might aswell ask here. What is the mustache rating in the gmf for?
How about the loadtimes? :clint:
44.5 seconds on max settings. Tested it six times with two stopwatches.
I had a single loading instance where it took one minute, all others take approx. 20 minutes.

for rating mustaches

Go play some people soup, then :v:
Go play some people soup, then :v:
They have those? Are they any good? I might extract it for some other mod (perhaps mine if I ever work on it again)
Yep, it has those and yep, they work.
Also got OL2010 to work.
[editline]3rd May 2011[/editline]
But I got duplicate files of everything, so I'm fixing that :v:
[editline]3rd May 2011[/editline]
It has its own bin folder, which comes without a crack, the extracted archive has a mini image instead and they tell you in the readme "REMEMBER: if you use this image with a non-legal SoC version, you will VIOLATE copyright and moral laws, so: THINK OF WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!" :downs:
He also calls installing a mod an "INJECTION", which he spews as often as he can. God, the maker of this really tries hard to be twelve again.

!!!WARNING!!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
!!!You will download all the 10 parts "soc_OL10_v1.zipx.001-010" to begin injection procedure!!!

I don't even get why he included "tools" with it and the other stuff.
I just put the gamedata folder in like normal and it worked fine. :psyduck:

SGM has those. I used one to kill everyone at the bandit base.
The most lovely thing is how he explains how to extract the archive(which he does in a really ass-backwards manner) inside of the archive itself, which is split, so you can't even just open the file.

Reminds me of this:

Alright. This is shit simple. No I am not going to make an auto installer so don’t email me and ask for one. This came in a rar file. You need WinRAR. (http://www.rarlab.com/ ) For fucks sake you needed it to open this file, so there is step one already done.

STEP A: WHAT U NEED:
--------------------
--------------------
- A legal copy of "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl" videogame;
- SoC WW update 1.0005 must be installed before playing;
- Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista SP2, Windows 7 (x64 OS recommended with more than 4 gb of RAM);
- 3,00 GHz single core CPU or better (Intel dual and quad core CPUs recommended);
- 3+ gb of RAM (4 gb recommended);
- NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT or better (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 recommended);
- SATA2 7.200 rpm HDD or better (WD VelociRaptor 10.000 rpm recommended).
- "hjsplit" tool (included in OL10 tools);
- A compression software able to extract .zipx archives (included in OL10 tools).
!!!WARNING!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
!!!Playing Oblivion Lost 2010 on a PC with poor or not adeguated HW/SW may cause instability and CTDs!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STEP B: PRE-INJECTION STEPS:
----------------------------
----------------------------
- A clean S.T.A.L.K.E.R. installation is required to let the mod pack perform better;
- You can defrag both HDD and system registry before injection procedure;
- You have to delete ALL your savegames: OL10 doesn't support vanilla saves;
- You have to download the archive "OL10_tools.zip" archive to get "hjsplit" tool and WinZip demo

Challenge: Find everything stupid/obvious/unnecessary/wrong.
[editline]3rd May 2011[/editline]
Also without the user.ltx that comes with it, the game is so bright and bloomy I can barely make out the asphalt.
I have to delete my old saves, even if I don't load them! :downs:
Yes, of course!
Never mind that I have like 300 savegames, OL2010 CAN'T LOAD THEM, SO YOU MUST DELETE THEM!
- You can defrag both HDD and system registry before injection procedure;
Can I?
I'll just repackage it with a fixed exe by kingo64, which is also cracked.
Worst part about the mod is that there's no stamina bar.
There isn't one where the health/armor bar is, and there isn't one in the inventory. Is that supposed to be realistic? How is knowing my exact "health" and exactly how degraded my armor is realistic, yet I don't know if I'm tired or not?
Also all the health/armor stuff is on the left, but the radiation bar is on the right.
