Well 7Zip has 3 little executables, the Console, File Manager and one other, two of them won't open the thing, and .002/.003 won't open at all

Okay, seriously, this is starting to annoy me. What the hell do I have to do to make it so I can change what I record with, so I can set it to "What U Hear" in Audacity? This isn't just for the STALKER video, but for other things as well.

Vista and 7 don't have Stereo Mix/What U Hear.

And the equivalent of it (Stereo Mix) is not supported by Creative for Windows 7 (I have a Soundblaster Audigy). So basically, people with this soundcard simply can not use "What U Hear" or any equivalent to record once they use Windows 7 or Vista. Shit sucks. Guess I'm going to look into livestream.

I spend more time in the thread than actually playing stalker... sad day.

I got a weird issue with call of pripyat. Every time I try to record with fraps in it it tends to lock up my mouse and keyboard every fifteen seconds or so, so in the middle of a fight it's impossible to record. Anyone have any idea why?

I've been thinking about controllers. I think it'd be good if, instead of the intermittent 'voices and distorted vision' effect which is just really annoying, controllers would interfere with your actions and steer you towards hazards during those intermittent periods of attempted controlling. For instance, forcing you to pull the pin if you're holding a grenade. Forcing you to walk into anomalies or towards dangerous edges (so you fall). That way, you'd have to time such vulnerable actions in order to execute them in between the controller's attempts to mess with your mind, or else avoid them entirely. The first encounter with such a controller could be a scripted event in which you see a stalker suddenly commit suicide with a grenade. It'd be a pretty vivid moment and would get the idea across. That, combined with more passive effects like creating hallucinations in your mind, would make controllers more interesting and more dangerous foes, I think.

Can someone also explain to me why Freedom is the only who seems to sell 12 Gauge? I literally became friends with them cause they seem to have it in stock.

That's something I don't like about People Soup. The only traders I've found so far (Haven't been to the army warehouses yet) that sell/trade 12x76 buckshot are Sid and Adrenaline. Sid trades it for some artifact, Adrenaline just sells it normally. Barkeep doesn't have it at [I]all.[/I]
