S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series Megathread - We have death during loading - does Minecraft? - Games

I think this game wants me to die. An emission started about a minute after my last post, with the guy on the radio telling me to get to cover. There's only one building within sight, and apparently that's not good enough, because I keep dying there. There's nothing else that I can get to in time.

If not, I suggest you try and find Skadovsk, unless you [I]extremely[/I] went off the path.

Can anyone help me find the basic tools for cardan? I looked in the red brick buildings attic, but they weren't there.

The adventure doom had with Sid's door reminded of my favorite thing to do in X18. For the room where you get the documents, just put a little can in front of the door so it won't close. Grab the documents, say fuck the Burer/Fire Poltergeist (depending on your mods), and just walk back out. :v:

and reloaded my save, refuses to open. I should note I had to physically use my bullets to open it, using F did not work. Brilliant.

I am assuming you are using this version of People Soup with the game patched to 1.0004 before installing? That's what I have, and it works just fine. [img]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8416055/PeopleSoup.png[/img] Also, you can load saves in 10 seconds? Lucky bastard. I've timed it. Initial load takes 5 minutes, and subsequent loads take 50 seconds. I need to replace my 1GB sticks with 2GB. 4 Gigs of RAM just isn't enough for this mod. :smith:

Reinstalling CoP.. At the risk of sounding like a idiot.. What would be better Redux or Complete? Or something else.. i played vanilla CoP a while back and enjoyed it by the way.

The download of People's Soup + DMX from Blaberry's FTP has a saved game file that starts you off after the cave. I had to use that because I ran into the same problem as you.

If you feel the game is too easy for you, get Redux. If you want better graphics and have a stronger computer get Atmosfear 2. Aviod Complete and Pripyatan.

Avoid pripyatan like the crashing piece of shit it is. The models are broken beyond anything playable and I'm telling you, there has never been a mod that has caused me that much trouble. Even the soup I can get in a playable condition fairly quickly. Pripyatan is just fail and crashes. Lots and lots of fucking crashes.

I've played through it three times and only had six crashes, those being when I first started the mod and had memory full. Blame your CoP.
