SoC looks pretty good without AA, but CS and CoP look so bad. What's even worse is that enabling AA makes it unplayable. GSC made a sick joke there.

I can live with it, it's just that CoP looks the worst because you can see out in the distance in a way you can't with SoC or CS.

In CS, turning on 2x MSAA puts me from 80fps to 40fps.

Doesn't the "AA" work by simply upscaling the resolution to something crazy so what looks like awful shit only looks like shit?

That's called super sampling anti-aliasing (SSAA), or full-scene anti-aliasing (FSAA).
