any news on stalker 2 or a website with information
Nope :(
Would anyone find a website that organizes STALKER mods useful?
Like I asked above, it seems there are no sites that offer mirrors for all the best STALKER mods, plus information on how to install them, etc, and allow user submissions of mods. If someone made a site like that, would any of you find it useful?
Uploaded AMK1.4 to the FTP.
This mod does not work.
At the risk of sounding a complete tool, I want to mention this to those that don't already know :
For those that use Complete, I suggest checking out SomethingAwful's CoP thread if you haven't already. A guy named Swartz is making a pretty sweet sounding mod, using Complete as a base.

Also, much, much more but the updates are scattered from that page onwards and finding a comprehensive feature list is a nightmare.
Anyway, it might also feature new kickass guns :

It finishes the intro movies, then it just closes.

yo how the fuck did you do that
Going to backtrack a bit now, what do I do once I've extracted all the 7z files?
[editline]10th April 2011[/editline]
Jah, I right clicked the first 7z, and clicked "extract here."

And then you instantly ctrl+v into the quick reply box.
Put the gamedata folder in your SoC folder, put the bin folder in your SoC folder, make sure you're on 1.0005.
And paste the crashlog.
I'm going to finish ShoC again with no mods so I can get the "good" ending, and then I'm going to play it with mods.
[sp]I still have no idea how to get the "good" ending[/sp]

By the way I just finished CoP

Protip: When the game tells you to [sp]find the Guide,[/sp] you should do that.

Check in your textures/ui folder and see if the stalker3 texture is misnamed. Otherwise, redownload whatever mod you were using/find an older version of it that has the texture.
How well does Fixing Soup, well, fix People Soup? I recently tried running the game before hearing about Fixing Soup and it would stutter like mad (framerate was fine, but there were frequent pauses as if it were loading shit). I've also got 4gb of RAM if that helps.
Fixing Soup gives Seriy/Yurik/Bes/Warrant Officer a model (They were missing them before) and adds the 20x85 ammo type. That's it.
It won't help the stutter, only more RAM/reduced settings will do that.

Dammit, I reduced all settings to low and tinkered with the configs to turn off motion blur and got no results, too. :byodood:
I've been cooking up some very cool ideas involving Exoskeletons for WotW. Expect a news article about it in the future!
Exo-SEVAs, calling it now. :smug:
More likely he's gonna make them rarer/more expensive (since it's earlier in the Zone's history) and more effective (sprinting etc).

Fixed.
Fixed.
So at that point they are going to be a useless pile of shit that costs lots of money?
They're pretty useless in vanilla SOC anyways--no sprinting, low environmental protection (radiation, chemical, etc). Being able to tank more bullets doesn't make up for that.

My system will fix that issue, if you.. choose wisely, let's say for now.
Secret dev stuff is fun :3:
Which is why you mod it! :science:

In every STALKER game and mod I've played where I've gotten a chance to use them, they are nothing more than dry paper compared to the other armors which can be described as wet paper.
i prefer onion paper
when i try extracting people soup + dmx dkz with 7zip it tells me unspecified error
i prefer onion paper
I prefer Toilet Paper.
