Bit of spoilers but oh well, it doesn't spoil the ending. [sp]You go to Guide, next to Strelok's stash underneath Agroprom, and finally on to Pripyat where you get a decoder out of a secret room. After that you just need to find another entrance to the Sarcophagus. The task will be completed and that task will be called "Find the secret lab" or something like that. [/sp]

Why is Complete regarded as bad? I thought it was good since it made the game look good and didn't really take much away from core gameplay..

1. 90% of the content is taken from other mods
2. the mod is hyped as the best thing since sliced bread
3. the creator calls himself "Artist" Pavel, and acts pretentious
4. the mod dosn't really add much besides improved atmosphere, textures and bug fixes. this in of itself is not a problem, but the maker peddles it as the best mod ever
Can someone direct me to the best version of AMK, and where to download it? I'm not sure if I should download 1.4, or 1.4.1, or what.

It depends on which one we're talking about. Complete 2009 is an okay mod (if a bit casual - it's slightly easier than vanilla), overrated by the general public though. CoP Complete is probably what most people are referring to recently. I haven't tried it but I've heard it's unstable and basically just a simple mod compilation with very little original content. People also take issue with the fact that 'artistpavel' (the guy behind the Complete mods) is arrogant.

I once had a dream where me and some Boy Scouts went camping in the Zone.

Gotta love/hate those randoms dreams that can be exciting/frighting.
I've been having these stalker dreams over the past four years.
The only stalker-related dream I had was probably about 2 years ago.
I was with a group of loners, and we were looting people or something. This military helicopter comes flying around and airdrops a case, which opens and like 5 pseudodogs just randomly fly out of it. And then I think the dream did a random twist and i went home to my family in the US or something

Bah, I'm finding out why everyone thinks Clear Sky is the worst STALKER game.
I just don't get that huge open-world sense anymore, it feels really cluttered and weird.
At this point I'm just trying to finish the damn thing so I can enjoy some Shadow of Chernobyl :D

I once had a dream I was in one of my favorite childhood places: My grandmother's backyard. There was no one around for miles and I could hear a bloodsucker. I knew it was out there and I didn't know what to do. So in the dream I stood in one place looking at the cloaked outline of a bloodsucker from a short distance away. In the dream I felt extremely terrified.

I once wrote a story about the elevator scene from Half Life: Blue Shift in english class and I got the highest score out of all of us.

They're not really, it's just unnecessary bloat and file size that doesn't add a lot to the game. You can always merge a sound mod in yourself easily enough if you're desperate :)

Indeed. Those motherfuckers are rough. Grenades also work, but good luck catching them unawares unless you have some VOGs around.

Funny thing, I actually had "Complete" mod on my Call of Pripyat before it was released. How you ask? Well all I had on my CoP were bugfixes, re-textures, Re-animations, atmosfear, CoP Variation Mod,...
I ain't even joking, all those mods in complete, I already had them before... Still not a bad thing, instead of downloading all those mod seperatly, now I can download them all in a pack.
But yeah I totally agree that the mod is over-hyped and over-advertised, it's not that good of a mod, infact, I should be considered a "mod-pack" instead of a "Original" mod.
Also, thank you very much for the kind soul that linked me to the Swartz's Addon for Complete, I owe you a beer/hug/kiss/buttsex.

You really don't think sound adds to the atmosphere? Have you played Bad Company 2 or Hell's Highway? Properly designed weapon sounds can be the biggest immersion factor if done right.

I don't really see why does he have to change the sounds. The CoP weapon sounds seem just about fine to me.

WotW is a content mod - it's going to try and bring huge atmosphere of course, but it's going to be as vanilla as possible in terms of other things, like weapon sounds.
I really have to agree about weapon sounds though, they really feel like peashooters :|
