I demand a shirt saying " I SURVIVED LURK's WILD TERRITORY (3 sub bloodsuckers, 5 snorks, 4 bandits, 6 dogs, 6 mercs with battle rifles, and 1 loner in an exo suit) AND ALL I GOT WAS THIS LOUSY TSHIRT). I go through the wild territory after buying a seva suit and the thing goes from 100% durability to 0% very quickly. What's a good setup I can go for in LURK? I'm currently going Saiga12/G36. should I go groza/p90? AK74U/Saiga? M16A4/(shotgun).
Someone last page asked me how to install Complete 2009 and AMK
AMK COMPLETE 2011 INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS What you are going to need: 1. AMK installer www.mediafire.com/?9ynjjzpdzjj 2. Patch for the AMK installer www.mediafire.com/?jlyhnu9ygmy 3. AMK compatibility patch for 1.0005 (skip if using the retail version patched to 1.0004) xarvius.ucoz.ru/Mods/AMK_14_for_Patch_10005.7z 4. Complete 2009 (get the zipped version, not the installer) http://www.filefront.com/16081365/ST...2009_1.4.4.7z/ 5. Stalker Weather Overhauled 3.1 and 3.1.1 patch http://www.filefront.com/17323342/S....er-Overhauled/ http://www.filefront.com/17328384/SW....1_UPDATE.rar/ 6. My hack job of a patch to make it all work together www.mediafire.com/?nimrzlzxltde9e8 INSTALLATION: Install AMK and both its patches to your STALKER directory. Unzip Complete 2009 to a temporary folder. Delete everything but meshes, shaders, sounds and textures. Delete textures\ui. Copy what's left to your STALKER dir, overwriting files if prompted. Unpack SWO 3.1 and the 3.1.1 patch to a temp directory. Follow the mod's readme, and don't use anything from #extras. Copy the resulting gamedata to your STALKER dir. Unpack the gamedata from amk_complete.7z to your STALKER dir. Be sure to add lines from the user.ltx supplied with SWO to your own, also take a look at \shaders\r2\SkyGRAPHICS_options.cfg Flickering shadows? take a look there: forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1071195
All the links should be working, and it's fairly simple if you just listen to the instructions.
Dammit why doesn't the link in the OP for Raiskauskone's comic thread work?
Is Clear Sky complete any good? And if so, is it easy to run?
I've had a great time with it, my only complaint is that since bleeding is toned down it's miles easier.
Meh, I can probably find that part in the files and take out the things I don't need.
Uh, shit. Call of Pripyat suddenly wont launch. I've reinstalled multiple times, nothing seems to work. What's going on?
You running XFire?
No.
You running XFire?
That doesn't happen anymore, I guess it got fixed.
Xfire is so 2006.
I'll use Xfire until Steam has all the features Xfire has. It's not a replacement for Steam, the Xfire store is terrible.
Woah Cop came out a year ago
Seriously? :< The weapon sounds were the first thing I sought to mod when I played CoP. They're flat, dull, and most of them are way too quiet. The weapon sounds in the other games weren't very good either but CoP's are dreadful. Some (like the TOZ) aren't too bad but listen to the CoP sounds for the Hi-Power, P220, MP5 and LR-300 especially. I've heard more fearsome car backfires.
Thorny, what do you think of this? I realize there are bigger things to focus on but weapons aren't some unimportant detail. It's a shooter, so the guns are kind of a big deal and making them look, sound and feel good is an important part of immersion. If you want to keep it vanilla style at least use the vanilla SoC sounds.
"getting upset" man are you 10 lol
"are you" man are you 10 lol Quoting random excerpts from posts followed by a question is fun! So I beat (I think?) Clear Sky tonight, was disappointed after having played Call of Pripyat and Shadow of Chernobyl first, but it was still awesome. I didn't really understand the ending though, someone care to help out? [sp]So Clear Sky is a prelude to Shadow of Chernobyl, where you play as Scar, a mercenary that for some reason has an immunity to emissions. You are rescued from an emission by a group of researchers called Clear Sky, who are studying the Zone. One of the scientists at Clear Sky explains to you that the Zone is giving off huge emissions because someone has found a path to the center of the Zone, a Stalker named Fang. You find out that you need to kill Fang and his team of Stalkers, to stop the Zone from killing everything via super emissions. So you track him down, and find out he is actually partnered up with Strelok, who you play as in Shadow of Chernobyl. You eventually track down Strelok and only Strelok (Apparently as soon as you find out Strelok is involved, Fang is gone from the story), and kill him at the Chernobyl NPP, where the game "ends".[/sp] I'm not only confused because after "beating" the game, there were no credits or really any notification that I'd beaten the game, but because [sp]I don't remember getting killed by a mercenary when I played Shadow of Chernobyl.[/sp] This could all just be because my first playthrough of both Shadow of Chernobyl and Call of Pripyat were rushed, but I feel like I'm missing something :v: Either way, awesome game, I'm just excited that now I get to go play Shadow of Chernobyl :buddy: [editline]13th April 2011[/editline]
http://rt.com/news/fukushima-chernobyl/ Get ready for "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Fukushima"
Fukushima is still nowhere near Chernobyl.
I didn't really understand the ending though, someone care to help out?
[sp]You didn't *kill* Strelok, you disabled his psy-protection device. The emission that takes place shortly afterwards knocks him out. A short time later he's picked up by the Monolith forces and they, not knowing who he is, brainwash him to become a Monolith agent and give him an objective - to kill himself.[/sp] [sp]I'm fairly sure the majority of the Clear Sky members who got caught in that emission were also brainwashed to become Monolith fighters, hence the boost to their ranks and the disappearance of the Clear Sky faction.[/sp]

Both have their uses.[/sp]
[sp]The deathtrucks are probably just loaded by monolith, and they told us about how they brainwash some stalkers to venture into the zone and go nuts just after they've killed their victim.[/sp] [editline]13th April 2011[/editline] :ninja:
:argh: My friend has a pirated version of SoC on his Macbook. And another one is gonna get it from him! I hate how you can kill someone stabbing him in the toe repeatedly. But that's life in the world of video games.

Hence why they always send trucks full of long dead stalkers.[/sp]
