The Official Stalker Facebook page posted some very unlikely names for the sequel for fun, and to gauge community reaction.
In terms of likelihood for use, they're up there with 'Oleg's NPP Adventure', by the way!

If you want to use a mod you'll need to start a new game.
God fucking damn it! I've done EVERYTHING to get Call of Pripyat working! It will not launch at all. I've reinstalled, deleted the whole folder, reinstalled, NOTHING! Why won't it launch? It worked fine before, why does it decide not to work now? Does anyone have a solution?
uninstall, clean registry, reinstall.

I don't mind starting a new game, the game should be even better now that I won't waste time looking for stuff or buying info from Owl then reloading a save from right before I talked to him so I save money

Does your card support DX10, or is it an older card?

Well, I guess I'm gonna download CS complete and see how it is. I don't really have anything else to do since I don't feel like taking a week out of my life to download the Soup.
EDIT: Just tried it, not that interesting. It's pretty much Spartan 11:11 with some REMOVED features.
Damn it I'm almost done with CoP and I just now got an F2000.
I love it, though.
Nah, the G36 is better. Strelok's gun is good for the silencer but the G36 is overall better. F2000 is useless at any range.

I don't like the G36 in CoP, but I did in SoC.
F2000 isn't useless, though. It's a beast if you can keep it under control. I'm using it for mid-range, a Striker for close encounters, and either the Gauss or SVD for long range.
