Well if he wants to do that, you have a point, but at the same time? The only person he ruins is himself. If he just wants to enjoy Complete and not all the other mods, than that is his problem, not ours.
Not very empathetic, I know.
Sorry, I'll try to be less of a helpful person in the future and start to be more of an asswipe.
What's a good first step you say?
Perhaps taking down the repository and start hamstring all my bandwidth to myself?
[sp]Not really though I'd never do that[/sp]
I'm not sure why you're taking my comment so personally and now (I assume) calling me an asswipe indirectly.
What did I ever do to you? I just want the guy to enjoy the game the way he wants to.
And I want him to have a better experience.
Sorry for trying to help him, is all I'm saying.
[editline]20th April 2011[/editline]
And no I don't take it personally, I just think telling us to stop bothering him when we're trying to help him is a bit douche-y.
You don't have to apologize for anything, we're not in an argument here Blaberry and I don't disagree with you. I just think people should do things the way they want. I just feel we're putting peer-pressure on people when we always tell them to use vanilla.
Why do we even bother :ussr:
Why do we even bother :ussr:
Sometimes I ask myself this whenever I release mods
:ussr:
I agree on that they should play with or without any mod they want.
It's just that on every single forum, every single board I have ever been to, people are worshipping Complete like it's the friggin monolith.
What is so great about Complete anyway, I looked at the mod page and it doesn't seem very good
Why can't we be friends? Why cant we be friends?
Complete isn't all that good, even.
It gets a metric ton of good press, then fanboys.
:frog: Complete seems pretty over-rated
:colbert: guys, I need your opinion. Putting an M203 on the MP5. (Vanillia) is this a good idea or horrible?
I NEED TO KNOW.
(Yes, it's possible in real life)
Putting a grenade launcher on a very small and lightweight submachinegun.
BRILLIANT!
My personal opinion? He should play vanilla first, I mea it just makes sense to play vanilla first, for any other game, would youmod it before playing? It's a better feeling when you play a mod :b:after:/b: playing vanilla because you appreciate what is changed in the mod.

Yes. This will be brilliant. Best part is, it was done on old style MP5s, the kind you see in Stalker. (There are generations of MP5, Stalker has the older style with metal bodies)

That looks great.
Also that_crazy_gman is drunk :v:
:allears:
M203s on MP5s, what about foregrips?
Yes, I'm going to make an attachment weapons mod.
Yes, I'll need some help from an animator for shit like foregrips :smith:
Yes, I'm going to add scopes to shotguns :unsmith:

And I thought the straight pressed-steel magazines were just a mistake on the modeller's part.
You learn something new every day.
Just got back after playing a bit of minecraft, deleting gamedata I guess. Vanilla ahoy!

It's a subtle detail, but you'll realize all the guns in Stalker are older generations or versions of guns.
[editline]19th April 2011[/editline]
(Or atleast, some of them)
Good luck to you rookie!
I suggest AMK if you think the game was too easy after the first playthrough.
Or perhaps OL 2.2

I think the newer ones can also mount M203s.

Also, I just had an idea. Unique gun shipments.
Now, we all know the zone has an assortment of old shitty guns, but what if I made a mod where you talk to a trader and place your own special order for a gun? Like say, on their conversation menu
"I'd like a special Shipment"
"I'm thinking of X (X = What gun, probably more Exotic guns or modern, like M4a1s or SCAR-Ls)"
And than the Trader would offer you a price (something expensive, it's meant to be a special unique shipment of a new high quality gun, I want it to cost a lot)
Sound like a good idea at all? Basically, you'd buy it, and than after you pay the money, you get the gun. (I was thinking of the player doing a quest or something, but I'm not too sure.)

Your image is of an airsoft gun, but it is possible I suppose
Sounds like an idea good enough for GSC, seeing how they did that in CoP with Nimble.
Yeah, but I'm doing it for CS
:v:
Maybe SHOC. Not sure

You could do it for CoP and call it a Nimble.
Oh and grats on four thousand posts.
Oh shit, I should make a quest where you give a mechanic a bunch of random gun parts and he makes you some weird fucking random gun made out of various pieces. It fits with the zone, imo
:colbert:
Seriously though, it would be best for ShoC
ninja for mergebreak.
Deal.
