LOADS'A MONEY
wop it out!
DOSH! Grab it while you can lads!
Mornin' stalkers.
Mornin' stalkers.
night stalker :smug: I love you guys... not in a paravin story way, in a brotherly way (A.K.A. HEY BROS)
In the Zone we're all bros. Except bandits. They're Scum.
In the Zone we're all bros. Except bandits. They're from Jersey.
fixed (although it is just a synomym)
Bandits are assholes. [editline]20th April 2011[/editline] And I am the penis that rapes them
Oh god the pernach in LURK is so awesome. I emptied nine bullets into a grunt by mistake :v:
God I hate it, I can't hit shit with it and it does no fucking damage.
I didn't need that thought.
And I don't get the bitching about lurks jelly, at least you can actually notice you're low on health. It's stupid to only have a health bar.
BLOODY SCREEN ~~~SO REAL~~~ is stupider than a just health bar.
No its not, a health bar ruins the immersion, while a bloody screen is better even though it is overused.
No its not, a health bar ruins the immersion, while a bloody screen is better even though it is overused.
I'm sorry but my eyes were not filled with strawberry jelly when I was seriously injured so I don't see how it is more immersive I like the stamina darkening the edges of the screen, should have been just a bit more subtle. jellyscreen is shit.
I still think just adding a red tint to the screen would be better than the jelly screen.
SOOO REAAL
Red tint around the edges of the screen would be alright by me [editline]20th April 2011[/editline] Only problem with UI designs like that is that it's hard to judge how hurt you actually are, when a health bar gives you a clear look at your situation.
That's another thing. Seeing how I usually pack at most two medkits, I really want to know my exact amount of health, to judge on whether I should heal or wait until I get shot again.
I wish the ammo system in Stalker was in magazines. :smith:
Magazine reloading ruins my reload-after-every-shot habit. I prefer bullet count.
Seeing how I usually pack at most two medkits
Two medkits at most? Does that mean you usually carry one? How on earth is that tactically sound? I mean, I'm not one to carry huge stockpiles of everything, but I usually pack four or five medkits, and that's if I'm not expecting trouble.
Magazine reloading ruins my reload-after-every-shot habit. I prefer bullet count.
That's why I love the magazine system. It MAKES you not reload at every chance and conserve ammo.
It provides a decent challenge and I can pack a ton of loot.
I'm preety sure that a box of bullets weighs more than a medkit.
I carry about 70 bullets. [editline]20th April 2011[/editline] I tell you what, I'll get a pic of my current loadout.
I carry about 70 bullets. [editline]20th April 2011[/editline] I tell you what, I'll get a pic of my current loadout.
wait let me guess, SKS with 50, makarov/similar pistol with 20, 2 medkits, 5 bandages, indeterminate amount of GLORIOUS RUSSIAN VODKA, final destination(no suit)? [editline]derp[/editline] >antirads casual

Mostly because I just bought the pistol and have no idea how many bullets I'll need. [editline]20th April 2011[/editline] Also no vodka since it's dead weight.
Well that's justifyable, that's an SKS right there. I rarely go to the traders, tho. So I always hoard stuff.
I've got a serious hoarding problem. Back when my graphics card wasn't irrevocably fucked, I had a box in the garbage with over 10,000 rounds of ammunition, lots of weapons and grenades. It just sits there, since it would take me days of actual time to shift and sell it all.
That's why I love the magazine system. It MAKES you not reload at every chance and conserve ammo.
I'd like the idea if you could then fill the mags in your inventory or do a mag refill animation(that you can stop anytime to reload only the amount you want) because one bullet clips annoy the hell out of me. You don't exactly want to waste a perfectly good mag into the air just because it has only like 5 bullets left like I find myself doing in ARMA 2. But I like the idea. Also, you could buy your ammo in packets or mags. Buying it in mags would be more costly but you could buy those if you can't be arsed to refill your mags yourself every damn time.
Oh wow. I just used that ZRP story skip feature to test something, and it resulted in some epic side effects. I wanted to go to the Garbage but I accidentally selected 'Red Forest', then just clicked no on the 'do you want to go to the next area' box and walked to the Garbage. Since the skip thing makes the game behave as if I've reached the Red Forest part of the storyline, all of the A-life changes that would have usually taken place gradually up until that point all happened at once, resulting in a crazy Garbage the likes of which I've never seen with default spawns. That stalker and the trenchcoat-wearing bandits who ambush him amicably walked off together into a whirligig, the pseudodogs who usually occupy the vehicle scrapyard after the stalkers vacate it were nowhere to be seen (turns out they spawned at the entrance from the ARI ), and bloodsuckers, boars and flesh showed up everywhere. You do rarely encounter a bloodsucker in the garbage in vanilla, but only on late visits and I've only ever seen one at once. Here, I saw three of them run out the hangar's back gate, kill a bandit, then come after me. I sprinted through the hangar with all three of them right behind me, and on the way out the front gate I ran past a trenchcoat-wearing bandit (the only survivor from that group suicide in the whirligig earlier) who was cluelessly sauntering along with his hands in his pockets. A second after I passed him the bloodsuckers instakilled him without even breaking their stride and continued chasing me as yet another one joined the chase. :ohdear: I sprinted all the way to the Duty checkpoint and they helped me kill the four bloodsuckers, though not before they killed the nearest Dutyer mid-sentence. Then they all spread out and headed towards that large destroyed building, mowing down bandits, dogs and boars, all of which were running around in a frenzy. Bullet wandered off to the that little hill on the left only to be mauled to death by two more bloodsuckers that showed up out of nowhere, so I went over and retrieved his rifle to seek revenge, only to see the bloodsuckers responsible run right into a whirligig. :v: I could get used to this. Does anyone know of a good A-life mod that makes mutant and NPC behaviour more varied and less predictable? I would really like to merge such a thing into my mod pack. Oh and it's my birthday as of 40 minutes ago. 21 years! :smug:
