I think you guys are missing the point. This guy spent real life money in the real world for a game he could play. Things worked. He could play it. Suddenly, the people he gave real life money to changed the game and it no longer works. The real life money he spent in the real world was now a waste, and now he has to invest several hundred real life dollars just so he can get his 20 bucks back, and not everyone has rich parents and not everyone has a good job. Don't forget about other real world things such as food and rent.
