I'm playing a tanky support engineer and while I basically can't die unless I'm not paying attention, my damage output is terrible, you need to be playing with people to support.

They must have updated it a good deal then. In the beta I was just cruising through veteran mode solo like it was nothing, where the other classes gave me a decent challenge.

Dual wield any half decent swords, get the gun bot and heal bot, a few gold bits of armor and the like and a level 5 or 6 forcefield.
Always Kill, Never die.
Is there a way to get vendors to refresh/restock their inventories?

3 major acts and 1 small, final act

why did this need to come out on same day as borderlands 2. I want to play it so badly but really have no time. I hardly manage to keep up with my friends in bl2.

At least you don't have to fight for who takes the loot first. Playing single-player leaves you play with your own rhythm.
Personalized loot is becoming more common and dat's good.
I cant imagine how fast I'd die in a multiplayer game though. 4 people kiting doesn't sound that interesting.

I weren't satisfied with mine :(. But created a new char, Engineer and were hooked instantly.
Fixed my issue through a mix of putting my computer into sleep for a while and coming back, restarting the game and restarting steam. Not sure what fixed it or why it was busted in the first place.

Back in beta, 6 player elite difficulty you could get 1 shot at the start of the game by almost every single enemy

It was fun playing hardcore, cause the first boss would destroy almost every player in the game with 1 attack.
