I bet.... 25.
That's about the second half of act 2 and there's some mean stuff there.
Oh wow, just made a new character on veteran, as soon as I entered the first dungeon I got swarmed by 5 dividing enemies and a dividing champion. That random generation sure can be cruel sometimes.
Someone convince me to get this, I liked Diablo 3, got boring as hell though sooner than I had hoped.
Just need that extra push.
What does TL2 offer over it?
Honestly I kind of found Diablo 3 to be more interesting. But at $20 Torchlight 2 is a great value, since there's a lot of replayability in there with the random dungeon maps and such. Item variety seems a bit limited though, you sometimes get a lot of dupes in bigger loot piles.
Being an embermage is fun but I'm so squishy. A lot of enemies 2-3 hit me on veteran.

Just beated Grell.

Just died.
Is it just me or does armor really mean fuck all in this game?
And vitality seems pretty damn useless too.

Elemental armour and resistances are important too, also what difficulty are you playing on? Elite makes even the tankiest builds pretty squishy.

armor and vitality is so useful. I kept dieing in 2-3 hits from those tornado/ice mages in the frozen land, so I took the time to find better armor, and found this amazing armor set called "regent". I went from dieing in 3 hits to not losing any health. The set bonus for 20% health stolen is also a godsend with a beserker.

This is a shot of the set, although i'm a little farther on in the story now. I still don't really need to worry about health at all, as long as I maintain a small buffer of mana.
My level 40 beserker has 10 vitality, still wrecks absolutely everything
No I mean non magic related, I was expecting Outlander to be some gunslinger not someone who "dips into ancient magics", I understand there are tiers for different things but you usually can't progress if you only stay in one.

Anyway does anyone wanna start a game on vet together?
I don't know about you but I more or less only use auto attacks on my outlander. Maybe a glaive or a jump once in a while, but not much. Oh yea, and I have like 10 points in that skill that spawns bats when you kill an enemy. Shits so fun.

The only active skill I use is rapid-fire, I put most of my points into ranged weapons and dual-wielding. Oh and the shadow bat skill because occasionally it wouldn't let me put points into the trees I actually use because I wasn't a high enough level.

Vet, level 30 outlander.
I die in like 2 or 3 hits from everything and my resistances are all crazy high.

I love my Mechanic :D
Also to explain the gold, for some reason a server I joined was giving me like 10x gold for selling things, so I could just...buy back something I sold and sell it again and get 10x the amount of gold I got for selling it before :v:
is that a minecraft sword
is that a minecraft sword
Yes, yes it is.

It dropped in "Notch's Mine"
Anyone know how to reset your levels on Singleplayer?
I finally got a sweet unique for my zerker (started over on Normal) and I need to kill 50 zombies but they don't really spawn anymore.
[editline]1st October 2012[/editline]
Also when you play MP if you're leveled higher than the other player do you gain at a slower rate so they can even out?

I think its like diablo 2, where you have to create a multiplayer or lan one that resets the map, than it will be reset in single player.

Start a LAN or internet game and select the option to reroll world, then it rerolls all the areas of the world and randomises em.
I deleted my embermage playthrough, I just wasn't enjoying it at all...Switched to an Engineer, And it's just so much more fun than embermage...
Farming Grell for -3% damage reduction gems was the best thing I could have ever done on Elite.

Me and my friend finished act 1 on elite hardcore, I was sweating at the act 1 last boss, he took like 30% of my hp in one hit. Healbot what would I do without you.
Vet, level 30 outlander.

outlander has low base hp thats why. as an outlander you have to get your damage up to a point where everything dies in 2-3 shots to counter their damage.
[editline]2nd October 2012[/editline]
armor reduces damage by a flat amount unlike most games where its a %, so you have to stack health on top of resistance if you want to be tanky

I gotcha.
Takes me way too long to kill anything, wonder what I'm doing wrong?
Will have to take a pic of my character sheet and gear.
edit: Well, no shit.
My strength is the lowest stat I have and my gear kind of sucks. :v:

unless 62 vit comes from items i would say you have too much vit(this would probably be different if you play on elite). your str is even to your focus, which is kinda odd as people usually prefer one or the other.
people(as outlander) usually either go all dex until like level 13 then all focus for the rest of the game, alternate between 5 str and 5 dex every level, or do something like dex until dodge chance gets to 25%, then str/focus based on if you're dualwielding or not(even if dualwielding i recomend getting some str).

Why do people follow "Character builds?"Why not just follow your heart and play the game, experience things and learn from the experience.

Because then your character will be worth jack shit later on and you'll just have wasted a ton of time on it.
