i dont, i make random builds based on what i want to do. i look at what i mainly want to do(in this case auto attacks mainly) and use the skill build to remind me what skills i should be getting, because im a forgetful fuck.
So my shared stash just wiped, again. Not too fucking pleased, fool me once shared stash shame on you, fool me twice shared stash shame on Runic.
Again nothing outstanding lost but I really don't want to have my stash disappearing up it's own arsehole every couple of days.
And on topic of builds I'm gonna do a near full Aegis engineer with a ton of AoE monstrous abilities and stuff. Should be pretty fun.
I'm tempted to do a sword and board engineer, since my main character at the moment is a two hander engineer.

I don't follow character builds because I'm able to formulate what I need on the fly based on what things do

For a solo shield + sword/mace based character, is it better to be a Berserker or an Engineer ? If so which trees should you go into ?

Berserker has an ability which gives you health if you crit. Engineer has a healbot. I'm currently a sword and shield engineer tank on elite hardcore and it's awesome, I recommend it.

people seem to like chaos burst over shadow shot, but whatever floats your boat. i personally prefer shadow shot due to it doing % of my weapon DPS and all shards can hit 1 target for more damage(unlike glaive).

Can someone give me a clue as to what I'm supposed to do. I killed a phasebeast. Then went through the portal. Killed these necromancers Or similar. Then spider nests pop up. But they never stop spawning. Am I supposed to do something?

Welp, so much for glaive rape.
Can't say I'm surprised at the glave nerf, sometimes they'd fly in from off screen and kill three things I hadn't even touched yet when I play with people who're outlanders.
