What the hell is the point of getting "high" in a video game? Shooting people makes sense in a video game, because you cannot do it in real life, and it's accurate enough to represent it to a degree where suspension of disbelief is allowed to kick in for the majority of people. Same with other common game mechanics.
But getting high is all about the physical effects and sensations, which cannot be replicated in a video game to any degree. It would be more fun to get wasted, change my keyboard to DVORAK and my mouse to left-handed, then try and play COD while Nyan Cat blares into my headphones.
