EVE Online vs Every other space game (X3:TC and Infinity in particular). The only thing that they have in common is that they're in space and involve trading/combat/exploration. The gameplay mechanics are completely different.
I gifted my friend Half Life 2. He played it and said he didn't like it, and that he was going to go play Modern Warfare 2 instead.
BFBC2 to MW2.
Comparing games is dumb.
Saints row 2 and GTA4
But those are meant to be similar.
But those are meant to be similar.
Saint's Row is more similar to the earlier GTA games. It is nothing like GTA4.
In Saints Row you get killed by explosions and cars more often than bullets. Compare that to GTA4.
BFBC2 to MW2.
Only because BC2 is so much better than MW2 that it's not fair to compare them. I think comparing WoW to sandbox MMORPGs is a big mistake. You can't compare WoW to games like Mortal Online, Darkfall, Xsyon,, Dawntide, or Wurm Online... now, those 5 games you can compare to each other due to similar base gameplay concepts, but naturally, they're all still very different games. For example, Wurm Online doesn't have an active combat system like DF/MO/Xsyon, but it does have more depth to its system, like the way wounds are applied and healed. That is a fair comparison.
Fable to GTA Civ to Total War Halo to Cod WoW to Cod Civ to Cod Now that i think about it MW2 gamers compare everything to MW2 they even compare other CoD games to it.
I wish the Yakuza (Ryu ga Gotoku)series wasn't compared to GTA... It's a flipping RPG brawler!
WoW to Cod
What.
My friend: "Oh my god, Bad Company 2 has no killstreaks. The guns has no detail compared to MW2. And the levels are too big. How are you expected to find anyone while playing team deathmatch when the levels are too big? Also theres vehicles! You don't have to earn anything you can just jump in a vehicle and kill everyone? Thats way to easy." He has a lot to learn.
What.
I've met people that compared World Of Warcraft to cod its sad
Spore to From Dust.
You guys realise that most CoD players are fanboys. They'll say every game is a copy of CoD.
Ukraine?
It's a habit, if people sound Russian in the game, I assume they're in Russia V:v:V
It's a habit, if people sound Russian in the game, I assume they're in Russia V:v:V
ukraine is basicly small russia, only stalker people say its different.
To foreigners Ukrainian accents sound the same as Russian accents. To Ukrainians not so much.
To me, most people from Eastern Europe or the Soviet Bloc seem to have identical accents.
All shooters to modern warfare.
.
Goldeneye. (Both the Source and the N64 versions) "So it's like Counter Strike?"
*Playing Stalker* [del]Friend[/del]Idiot: Do you get killstreaks? Me:No Idiot: Must be a shitty game then. I almost cried

Me "Hey man, you gotta check out Bad Company 2. That game's pretty fun. You'd like it I bet." Him "Does it have kill streak rewards?" Me "No." Him "What do you get for getting kill streaks?" Me "Points." Him "Huh, that's gay."
It's people like this that make me want to strangle a kitten and kick a puppy.
Comparing every team based game to TF2.
Dota. Specifically when the compare it to games.
Halo - MW2 BC2 - MW2 MW2 - Any FPS game out there Fallout - Metro 2033 Metro 2033 - S.T.A.L.K.E.R Fallout - to every other post apoc. game GTA - to every free roam game
Cryostasis from Bioshock, don´t compare this 2, one is in an underwater city, the other is on a ship. And any 3rd person shooter with cover system compared with Gears of War, Cover System is important to 3rd Person games and not an imitation of Gears of War. Finito.

Nothing wrong with that, we don't have enough of that kind of games anyway.
MGS to Splinter Cell.
I showed my friend a trailer for Company of Heroes. He said it was a Call of Duty ripoff.
I gifted my friend Half Life 2. He played it and said he didn't like it, and that he was going to go play Modern Warfare 2 instead.
Opinions man, I got Half Life 2 in like 2008, I tried it and I didn't like it, I prefered CoD4 over Half Life 2. I'm not saying CoD4 is a better game than HL2, but I didn't enjoy it as much. [editline]07:42PM[/editline]
I showed my friend a trailer for Company of Heroes. He said it was a Call of Duty ripoff.
Alot of people misstake it for an FPS game, although CoD ripoff is kinda dumb.
