the golden elites with face masks that are hard to find and kill = BOBs, a reference to Marathon BOBs which = Born On Board
Oh, so that's what it stands for. I saw the tag under their names on bungie.net being BOB but I was never sure what it meant.
I was thinking of making the first part of old mombassa an invasion map. The part after your pelican crashes. First phase would be to capture the building. Can't think of the other phases. Any ideas?

Who wants to do the Halo 3 Campaign on Legendary?
I have one or two levels left to beat, I'd be glad to help you on those.
Ah cool, add me on xbox, I'll be on later. I am on the 3rd or 4th mission I think.
Okay so I've been doing a sort of Halo Marathon lately. Where I play each game in order from beginning to end (Reach/CE/2/3, skipping ODST because it sucks ass). I'm on Halo 2 now and I must say. You gain a whole new appreciation for the series when you play it in order. You understand everything going on, and you want to keep going till you beat it even if you've already beaten them several times before. You also appreciate the graphics. As we all know CE's graphics are shite compared to the new generation games. But I'm still very much impressed by what they did do with what they had. Halo 2 has a lot of graphical glitches, namely in the cinematics, but that's okay. What I don't understand however is why the hell Halo considered a kiddy game? Seriously? I absolutely hate the Multiplayer mind you because of the huge amounts of pre-pubescent teenagers that haunt it, but the singleplayer is well made and Bungie really takes it to the next level with each of their games. Halo 2, they tried to tell the story from both perspectives. A lot of people hated that, I personally love it for one reason. You get to see the Covenants point of view, why they do what they do more in depth. ODST however, seems like it was just a game made to link 2 and 3 together so we know what happens once the Chief takes off, but the story is just so wrong. It's dark 90% of the time, can't see shit. And the other times your jumping from one person to another and I just don't understand why. It's not like it fills you in on all that much. But Halo 3 and Reach both were excellent finishing games. 3 finishes off the story and very well I might add. I only have a couple issues with that. And Reach introduces you to the story in a way that CE couldn't and it does an AMAZING job at that too. There has been a lot of talk about a Halo movie. About how it can or can't work. Well, I'm going to tell you right now it will NOT work if they have Master Chief in it. Because if a Halo movie is ever made I hope is fills in the blanks that the game series couldn't quite tell you. For instance, I want a bit more background on the covenant. I want to know how they came to know about the forerunners and their halo structures. I want to know why the humans were on Reach. Was it just the only planet available that could be inhabited? I want to know what happens to the flood. Halo 3 ended but the flood wasn't entirely destroyed. Hell, they are probably feasting on all the rotting corpses from Chief and Arby. Basically if/when a Halo movie is made. I want the beginning to tell a bit about the covenant, flash a few scenes from the games, and then go to present day where the flood is still being purged. That was a really long rant...umm. TL;DR: I love Halo. Halo shouldn't be assumed to be played only by children. ODST campaign sucked. The Movie and what I think it should be. Halo Marathons Rule.
Do we know how to get that mystery helmet yet?
Do we know how to get that mystery helmet yet?
Nope, but there are tons of theories about it.

I also love ODSTs, so there's that, too.
Before I say what I want to say; I agree with almost your entire rant except for the part about ODST. Anyway. It's funny you say that, because that's exactly what the Halo movie was originally planned to be, at least, in spirit. The idea was that the Chief is the main character and the film follows the rough plot of Halo: Reach(rather, the Fall of Reach) and Halo 1(mostly Halo 1). However, the Chief would do little except advance the plot; most of the character expression would be done from those who surround him. People like Johnson and Keyes.

It was too much character swapping for me and those night levels were the most annoying part of them all. But if it's 100% Master Chief it's going to get boring, repetitive and you're never going to experience the full story like you would with other movies.

I didn't have any cash (they didn't accept cards in the store with brickarms stuff) so I didn't buy anything. Maybe I saw you there! [editline]2nd May 2011[/editline] Speaking of which. Seeing as it's a bank holiday today I wondered if anybody in the UK was doing customs?
wait wait wait, manchester? i may do some customs later tonight, i hav etommorow off school so i can stay up late.
wait wait wait, manchester?
Yeah, in fact I just remembered that you and me live in the same city. And a certain other person in this thread lives close by, too...
it's a small world... anyone for customs tonight?
It's Monday...
i have the day off tommorow and i hav enothing on tonight so it was worth asking.
May Update is coming May 3rd. I just realized you can see the date in the playlist section of Bungie.net under Squad Slayer.
I'll do customs tonight, if I can finish 3 missions on Halo 3 on legendary tonight.
May Update is coming May 3rd. I just realized you can see the date in the playlist section of Bungie.net under Squad Slayer.
What May Update?
What May Update?
Game type updates and ting. I know pinnicale is being removed from living dead.
Yeah, every month they have an update to the gametypes in matchmaking. Bungie can't legally do a Title Update, though, so the core game mechanics can't be changed, like the much whined about Armor Lock.

It's their game?... I am so confused.
I desperately wish they could patch all the civilian vehicles from the campaign into forge.
What do you mean Bungie can't update the title? It's their game?... I am so confused.
Because 343 Industries is taking over the game soon, so "code is pressed tightly to metal".
Because 343 Industries is taking over the game soon, so "code is pressed tightly to metal".
Is that the group that's making the Halo 1/2 remakes?
WOOP! JSUT GOT THE LAST AVATAR AWARD ON REACH (jorges helmet) NOW I HAVE ALL THE ORIGINAL ACHIVEMENTS AND AWARDS!
Is that the group that's making the Halo 1/2 remakes?
Well, that's just a rumor, but yeah. There are a bunch of ex-Bungie employees in it, so they aren't just a group of random people. They also take the Halo canon disturbingly seriously, so the next Halo game they make should have a good story at least.
