You mean the absolute piece of shit that places the AR's effective range at 100mm, says that the rifle grenade launcher shoots like 10 meters, and states that MACs have a 1.17 teraton/shot yield even though the TotS cutscene completely disproves that?
I was disappointed by the whole "Mac rounds in atmosphere?" I thought it would throw the falcon about as everyone grips onto their seats, then boom it fires like a gauss cannon and spire just collapses from the damage instead of being blown apart, I was expecting it to blow half the caynon behind it in half,
Same with sword base when the corvette gets hit by the MAC surely if its powerful enough to go through the ship it would make a bigger tidal wave than the one shown.

have you ever played with a 35 year old gamer?

You've probably noticed that on the level "The Pillar of Autumn", when Emile jumps over the broken bridge in his Mongoose, there is a scripted boost to make sure he makes the jump. Well, with a grenade, you can launch Emile and you to extreme heights.
First, at the start of the level when you get to the two Mongooses, instead of driving your own, get on the back of Emile's. Make sure you have some grenades handy, and wait until you get to the bridge bit. Let Emile jump over the bridge a few times (revert to the last checkpoint before you get a checkpoint over the bridge!)to figure out where the trigger for the boost is. Once you know exactly where it is, you can do the launch.
Right before the trigger, throw a grenade at the ground where Emile will drive over it. If you timed it precisely right, the Mongoose will be in a twisted position when the boost is triggered. You should be launched at VERY high speeds, sending you flying into the sky.
There are many different outcomes in this, and it's pretty hilarious. The Mongoose was tipped downward one time at the boost trigger, and Emile, the Mongoose and I disintegrated into the ground. :v:

The video shows a basic launch, but there are much crazier scenarios sometimes, with a little luck!

That SMAC round is actually going slower than if they just dropped it off the station. :frogdowns:

They should have just dropped a pelican on it from orbit.

My dad's almost 43 and he plays video games. Mainly RTS games.
Guys, I played Halo 3 at my uncles place, and :iia: This was my first time playing Halo 3 on Xbox Live.
I went into matchmaking (first ever time, I sort of knew how it worked). Now, I found matchmaking playlists, and chose a few slayer games, which were fun (warthog in mancannon spartan laser fun) then I wanted matchmaking with forge/infection, but I couldn't find any playlists, and when I go into custom game/infection, there are no matchmaking options, and I really wanted to play Infection/Juggernaut with people, but I couldn't join a game because of no matchmaking options. Now, how would I enter matchmaking for custom games and forge (Forge probably doesn't have it for obvious reasons.)
Sorry to break it to you, but you can't enter matchmaking in either Customs or Forge.
Sorry to break it to you, but you can't enter matchmaking in either Customs or Forge.
So there's no way to join a custom games match? (Or for someone to join your custom games/forge party?)
So there's no way to join a custom games match? (Or for someone to join your custom games/forge party?)
You can invite them or they can invite you but there's no matchmaking option for it.
So is the map pack worth it?
So is the map pack worth it?
I would say so, yes. Tempest feels a lot like Valhalla, which I loved. Anchor 9 has some nice objective games, and slayer isn't so bad either. Breakpoint (?) can be a lot of fun in a big team slayer match, provided the vehicles aren't too involved (there's too many at the moment, causing the balance to be horrendously unstable).

Whenever Emile drives me, he stops to turn slightly every two seconds. But whenever I let him drive himself, and leave him on his own, I look back after jumping across the bridge and he's walking. :argh: Then I have to restart the level.
I like the proximity of the bases in Tempest. The battle gets intense and stays intense, but there's always the option of slinking around the sides and flaking the enemy.
I wish you guys would bring back all the custom game meet ups like we did right before Halo Reach came out.
Did anyone else find Halo 3's campaign horribly average? I really didn't enjoy it. It simply didn't have the appeal the prior two games had.
Bought the Map pack yesterday, and it's awesome. Now I know why the Falcon is so much fun, but only when I have two good gunners. I can't dodge those homing fuel rod missiles forever.
What the fuck is with Betreyals, I got killed by a teammate but it didn't give me the option to kick him, so I go back and kill the guy who beat me to death sitting in the turret on my teams Wraith and he kicks me. :frown:

Because it tried to hard to be nostalgia to Halo CE.
