Me too.
Is there a weekly update today?
Yes.
Yes.
Can you link me to it? All I see is stuff about the Noble map pack.
[editline]3rd December 2010[/editline]
And a Mythic difficulty guide, but surely that can't be it?

Too late - people already picked them up :(
Fucking bots. Or people, just realized a minute ago.
Aw, I wanted one. :frown:
Been too busy this week to even come close to the weekly challenge. I've only got about 100 kills down, and tomorrow I have SATs and a dinner party to go to. Sunday I've potentially got plans. Oh well, I'll tackle next week's.
Christ, either you go against a team that so coordinated that you can't do shit, or you get a team that's so uncoordinated/AFK that you can't do shit.
It gets old after awhile when you have little to no chance of winning. I think the fact that Trooper-Guy was being a NEGATIVE NANCY didn't help.
We should try and get a group together over the weekend and play.
I bought the game yesterday and after playing a couple levels of the campaign I went online and played some team slayer. The other team then preceded to spawn camp with rockets and snipers within the first minute and a half.
Also, obligatory dat ass.
You Blew It Up! - 13G
You Ate All The Chips - 42G
Fuck you Bungie, now if I get one of those I'll go insane! :argh:
[sp]More insane, that is.[/sp]

Oh yeah, I forgot about the team that always does the cheapest shit, like hiding in the tiniest nook and cranny on Hemorrhage, shove the flag room full of vehicles, couple of points ahead and fight from afar to win, the usual.

Hemorrhage is the worst map. It's too vehicle dependant and once one team takes out (or worse, steals) most of the other team vehicles, they're automatically the winners. The team with the most vehicles wins essentialy. Plus it's based on Blood Gultch, but it's the size of Coagulation, AND THEY REMOVED THE FUCKING ROCKET LAUNCHER FROM THE CENTRE!
All Hemorrhage needs is some more weapons that qualify as anti-armor. Or maybe just to be replaced with a Valhalla revival. That was the shit.
Playing through the Reach Campaign on Normal (I beat all my games on Easy for the story and basic tactics, then play through again on higher difficulties for challenge), the story feels a lot more weighty when you actually feel like you can die in-game. I also seem to be getting a lot better at this.
I think Hemorrhage is a fine map, but the vehicles need balancing. Something feels off about it. The balance is tipped towards one team too easily sometimes.
2 Warthogs and Mongooses, fine. Ghosts, fine. However, those Revenants murder people like nothing, and the Wraith feels like it's wrong for a lot of situations, but if you put back the Scorpion, it's far too effective.
I think it needs a bit of air support. The Falcon is already underused in most maps anyway, but I think it would help even things out.

Try it on Legendary. I managed to do Winter Contingency without dieing.
Also I have all 5 avatar awards, am I cool yet?
They need to remove Pinnacle from infection. "Camp the tower and rack up cheap kills"
I still don't know how people do that in Reach so readily. All boarding and armor lock kinda kick ass.
I got killed by an armor lock in campaign earlier. :smith:

They need to create special infection map varients, with all the gay camping spots turned into a soft kill zone or blocked off.

They did that for Zealot, thankfully. I think on every vanilla map that there is some spot that can be exploited - Bungie needs to make some infection-specific map variants.
Is the stockpile achievement when YOU PERSONALLY get all flags, or when your team does?

I would like to know this too.

Psssh, once? I've done it 4 times :smug:
I came in here expecting more booty.

From the way Bungie were talking in the second round of humpday: halocharts' commentary it appears to be when your team does, and making it YOU ALONE having to collect them probably qualifies as cruel and unusual punishment.
I came in here expecting more booty.
Come back on page 34, you will probably not be disappointed.
Just took my first look at the new achievements
I'm boned
i kinda like the way they've done the new achivements, it means i have 100% achivements until i buy the new dlc, but then i also wish i could get the new achivements without needing to buy the dlc

In my opinion, there's not enough cover for a falcon. Fly high enough and you can see just about everything. Just get two guys on your turrets and hover above everyone. If any kind of air support is added, it would need to be a banshee. At least it's not as powerful, except for those damn fuel rods, and is forced to constantly move.
Banshee fuel rods need a longer cooldown time IMO.
