Yeh it was Silver in all the games i remember.
But ive also seen an ODST action figure with a deep blue visor. And it actually didnt look that bad.

My friend on wireless gets that all time, its fucking annoying he just disconnects mid-game sometimes, been quit banned a few times.

Only in custom games for both of your questions. However, different gametypes sometimes let you spawn with different classes.
